Food scene
The cassette tape wall was inspired from one of our favorite restaurants in Uptown, Windsor. The cassette tape wall was a labor of love. What sounded like a simple concept "let's glue cassette tapes to the wall" turned out to be a much more complicated process, as any worthwhile project tends to be.
We brought in a trusted craftswoman who understood our
vision and knew exactly how to get it done. What was so
special about it is that she added her own artistic magic in
many ways by spray painting some of the cassettes, adding
metal details and even naming some of the mix tapes.
We are biased, but we love our cassette tape wall and we
hope that you do too!

My favorite restaurant in all of Arizona! I'm a foodie and have eaten all of the world and Maple and Ash rivals some of the best. Its not just the food, but the environment. If you want to go, book a reservation early and order the 'I don't give a Fuck'. You won't be disappointed.

If you are looking for some fine dining with lots of amazing cocktails and multiple courses then you must try Café Monarch. It is a sophisticated, prix-fixe New American meals in an elegant, chandelier-lit space with outdoor tables. Very romantic for those special moments with a loved one.

The Van Buren is one of my favorite music venues. Located in Downtown Phoenix, approximately 15 min from the Funk Headquarters, it is a popular venue for up and coming bands. Tons of restaurants and bars surround The Van Buren. Tickets are usually affordable.

In 1963, the round building was originally designed as a multi-purpose conference center which could be transformed into a concert venue during the winter months. For 50 years, the Historic facility has provided patrons with the ultimate in entertainment viewing featuring an extremely rare revolving stage and no seat is more than 70 feet away from the stage!

Uptown Phoenix has become an important district connecting the north end of the city hub. Uptown is home to a few of Phoenix’s coveted historic districts, including Medlock Place, Windsor Square, and Pierson Place. Each of these districts offer the tranquil neighborhood feel yet are just a few blocks from major thoroughfares.
Home Styles & Surrounding Pleasures In the Uptown District
Ranch-style, historic brick or block and newer stucco homes can ALL be found here. Million-dollar estates dot the northwest central neighborhood. Mountain preserve areas surround and run through this area. Popular restaurants are plentiful. Many of its schools are top rated and draw students from other parts of the Valley. And light rail runs through the southern part.
Living In Uptown Phoenix, AZ
Expect mostly older, established neighborhoods with larger homes near mountain preserves and great schools. A well-worn and popular bridle path can be found in North Central, where home prices are highest. Mountain preserves flank Madison and Lookout Mountain neighborhoods.
Hip, New and Fun
New hip eateries draw residents and visitors. Families, Baby Boomers, young professionals and college students all want to live here. School mornings can be busy in Madison. The Phoenix Metro Light rail runs through the southern end of this neighborhood.
