Really recommend a walk around Old Yardley Village as well as a visit to St Edburgha's church. It has a beautiful old world atmosphere which has been designated a Conservation Area.

Discover a real Tudor house just outside the centre of Birmingham. Blakesley Hall was built in 1590 by Richard Smalbroke to show off his wealth, and the fact it's still standing after all these years means the house did its job! Visitors will enjoy the house looking just as it did in Tudor times, from the family dining room to the canopy beds in the beautiful bedrooms, and to the much less pretty kitchen where the harder work was done by servants for not very much money. The team at Blakesley Hall have worked hard to make sure that the garden is almost exactly as the Tudors would have had it! Flowers and herbs grow by a traditional orchard which attracts butterflies and birds. Opening hours 8th April - 29th October Tuesday to Sunday 11:00 - 16:00 30th October - 29th March Wednesday to Thursday 11:00 - 16:00 First Sunday of month 11:00 - 16:00 Pricing General Admission Adults: £7.00 Kids (3-15): £3.00 Concessions: £5.00 Family from £15.00 Location Address Blakesley Road, Yardley, Birmingham, West Midlands, B25 8RN, England
