La Taberna de Pepe is one of our favorite places to visit and will recommend. Their drinks are amazing (try their signature drink “La taberna de Pepe” and the most delicious “El Chinolaso” ) and the food is very good (our favorite is the Croquetas de Jamón Ibérico)

Delicious!!! Pork and beer is crunchy, savory goodness. If you do go here please try the Mofongo de Cepa De Apio, it’s their healthy twist on a mofongo and it’s so yummy!
Their Cativias de Chivo are also very very good and their carne salada along with Tostones hits the spot!
Poor and beer has a large selection of IPAs and they make their own which is included in some of their meals.

Our favorite is the Classic Elly and the Honguito. Los jefes is also well known for their amazing fries topped with meats, cheese and condiments.
This burger joint is located in the Foodtropolis Food park so going there is an experience of its own as you have many choices: meats, pasta, pizza, sweets, and burgers of course!

Exploring the heroic city of Santiago De Los Caballeros!
The best way to get around is to rent a car. GPS and your phone works wonders around the city and it’s very reliable. The city of Santiago de Los Caballeros as it’s formally called it’s a relatively safe city and there is a wonderful food scene. You can enjoy any type of meal and will find a variety of different restaurants depending on your taste. The public system is good in Santiago but we recommend renting or driving around.
