Black Eagle has a population of about 900. It is a suburb of Great Falls. With early activity from smelters and refineries, Black Eagle was first called “Little Chicago”. This was a reference to the industrialized nature of the town.

Located in the north-central plains of Montana, Great Falls sits on the banks of the Missouri River and takes its name from the nearby five waterfalls on the mighty river.
