Or stay in Whitstable and visit The Neptune, a great local pub right on the beach, serving a good pint and good food, and a fantastic spot to watch the sun go down. Further along you will find the fishing harbour, if you fancy some fresh seafood, and the harbour market stalls on a weekend.

Whitstable is a great place for watersports, whether you're a beginner or experienced. Cold water swimming, paddleboarding, sailing, windsurfing or even kitesurfing, are all available. Book ahead of course, check the weather and tide times.
