Neighborhoods

Résidence Les Cerisiers is centrally located, within walking distance to the beach, to the restaurants and supermarket. It is a safe place to stay. Flic-en-Flac beach is one of the locals favorite place to relax on weekends, the coastal road is then really busy. You might hear drums, music and see people dancing the traditional sega.

Hvað á að taka með

What to bring

We only have 2 seasons in Mauritius. Summer is from Nov to April. Winter is from May to October. Now, our summers are really hot and our winters not that cold. You better bring light, cotton clothes when you stay during summer. Winters' night may get a bit cold in upper parts of the island, like in Curepipe, Floréal, Vacoas, Quatre- Bornes and Rose Hill. Bring a pullover if you'll be in these areas at night during winter.
Samgöngur

Trams, bus, taxi, car?

If you can manage driving on the left side of the road, my advice would be to hire a car. Otherwise, you may get a taxi and make arrangement with the driver to come and get you when you need his service. Also, there's a bus stop on the coastal road, 2 steps from the apartment, you can adventure to different part of the island from there. The tram's route is from Port Louis to Curepipe via Rose-Hill and Quatre- Bornes. If you want to visit these towns at leisure without bothering about heavy traffic I would advise to take the bus to Rose-Hill and from there you get in the tram to Port Louis.
