You're in a great location and may not even need to take public transportation as there's so much to do all within walking distance. Should you need to get around, some options include taxis, uber/lyft, public transit, and electric bikes.

Farmers markets, bars, restaurants are a must in the area
If you're here during the weekend, the farmer's markets in midtown and arden are great to get some shopping done and just hang out. I would also recommend checking out some of our historic landmarks such as the Railroad Museum and Old Sacramento. Midtown is a great area to be in if you enjoy going out to eat, going to bars, or checking out different shops. If you're bringing kids, we would also recommend the Sacramento zoo or the American River Trail.

This is the best place to be during the holiday seasons
The annual lighting ceremony for the holiday tree at the Old Sacramento Waterfront takes place in late November. There are also pub crawls during December and ice rinks open around the area. We would also recommend Global Winter Wonderland at the Cal Expo.
