Food scene

Cretans have been producing wine since the Minoan period, for more than 5.000 years. It's really worth visiting a winery once on Crete. Domaine Paterianakis is my favourite, because it's the unique winery which produces only organic, biological wines and natural wines.

The Koules (Greek: Κούλες) or Castello a Mare ("Fort on the Sea" in Italian) is a fortress located at the entrance of the old port of Heraklion, Crete, Greece. The Republic of Venice built it in the early 16th century as a part of the fortification of the port. Today is an archaeological site, open to the public.
