My favourite National Trust property as a child owing to the atmospheric servant's quarters and kitchens. Lovely views to the coast from the garden and, of course, national trust tea and cake.

Unfortunately you need to book and access is only by minibus from Midhurst Grange Carpark but well worth it-beautiful expansive gardens with gorgeous herbaceous plantings and a woodland walk with grotto. Recommended if you can book it.

Always friendly even when rushed off their feet with pick your own fruit customers in the summer. Lovely fresh fruit, veg , bread and a small selection of meats, cheeses and fish. Would highly recommend.

Well stocked butchers in Midhurst with much of their meat coming from local suppliers. As well as meat they sell good pies and pates. Unfailing helpful and charming, they also run the greengrocers two doors up.
