It's not just a car park as the title suggests! it's part of the East Devon Pebblebed Heath's. A short walk from the car park to the coast path, there are amazing views over the Jurassic Coast. You can also walk freely around the Heath's away from roads.

There are plenty of walks to choose from on Salcombe Hill. From level and flat to cross country terrain, through woodlands and steep hills. The views from here are amazing. You can park in the National Trust car park for a fee.

The walk is accessible from Riverain and you can walk into Sidmouth (about 20 mins to the town and 30 mins to the beach) or to Sidford for the amazing fish and chips at Bloaters takeaway or a drink at the Blue Ball Inn.

The Golden Lion is one of our top recommendations for food. Usually it's fully booked, so plan ahead and ring in advance as much as possible. The service is excellent and the quality of the food is top notch! It's also a beautiful setting close to the River Otter so a nice place for a stroll too.
