Rockingham Castle was built by the famous William the Conqueror, for 450 years Rockingham was a Royal fortress, and since then it has been home to the Watson family, who happily welcome you and yours to explore them and theirs! It's set in a panoramically beautiful location with views over five counties on a clear day and is surrounded by 12 stunning acres of wonderfully contrasting landscaping. They have masses of wide open green spaces that the kids are welcome to play and run about on, though they do request that no ball games be played in the formal gardens for the safety of the plants and flowers - otherwise you're welcome to play what you like so feel free to bring your backyard favourites!
