Food scene

The Lincoln Center is a reclaimed elementary school (built in 1948) that now houses cafes, a bakery and the best brewery in Colorado Springs. Sit on the patio of Goat Patch brewing and get food from either a local food truck in the parking lot or order from Cafe Red Point, just 40 yards away. https://www.lincolncenter-cosprings.com

Upscale fondue restaurant with great service. While upstairs is white tablecloths, the “cellar” is a little known secret. We prefer to do the cheese and chocolate and skip the entree.

Named the #1 park in the nation by Trip Advisor, the stunning red rock formations at Garden of the Gods draw 6 million visitors each year. You can drive through, park at one of several lots inside the park, or park at the entrance and walk in. The park gets quite crowded in the summer. Remember water if hiking. The elevation is higher there.

Historic and kid friendly. There are also many great hiking trails behind it - much less crowded than neighboring Garden of the Gods.

Dog-friendly activities

Colorado Springs is a very dog friendly place! Most breweries and restaurants with patios are accommodating. Here are some of our favorites.
The restaurant/ dog park is fun for both people and pups. Eat indoors with your pup or sit in the small dog park while the dogs play.
