The house bread is good. Fine for a “fancy” place. Not my favorite as there’s def a lack of quality. I’ve heard the pizza is good but every veg dish I’ve gotten has been “flavored” with garlic, butter, and red pepper flakes which is lazy. They take themselves a bit seriously and try to get you in and out fast. I much prefer Aroma which has way better food, a more fun atmosphere, and seems to appreciate their guests a whole lot more.

I like to stop at Sprouts in Hemet on my way up to Idyllwild. The selection is huge and the prices are low. Also driving through Hemet (74) means you’re only spending 25 minutes driving up a winding mountain road instead of 45 minutes on a winding mountain road!

Don’t go hungry/get hangry!
There are great places to eat in Idyllwild depending on your preferences! I truly love El Buen Cacao for yummy hot drinks and delicious chocolates, Idyllwild Brewpub has really good pub fare, Idyllwild Pizza Co is super yummy, as is Ferro (for a higher end experience). Café Aroma is my #1 fave! The crepe place in the town center is also really great too! You can’t go wrong with whatever you choose, just maybe don’t show up super hungry or you may be frustrated by the wait time, depending on when you go!
