St. Mary Lodge has a coffee shop serving Montana Coffee Traders specialty coffee (espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, americanos, etc.). Next to the coffee shop, there is a restaurant and bar with great views of the nearby mountains!

Two Sisters Cafe is located just 6 miles south of my house. Craving a milkshake or a slice of pie after a long day? They have both along with a variety of entrees, hamburgers, and appetizers!

St. Mary entrance of Glacier National Park and Going to the Sun Road are located just 10 miles down Hwy 89. St. Mary has 2 gas stations, several restaurants, a bar, a big lodge, and is one of the main entrances to Glacier National Park.

Glacier Park Boat Co. is a great way to see and experience the park! While on the boat, they give you a brief history of the area and the views are insanely epic. There are three Boat Co locations nearby- the first being in Many Glacier. You can take this boat across the lake to cut a couple miles off Grinnell Glacier hike. Kayak and canoe rentals are available, too. It is located in front of Many Glacier Hotel. The second location is across from Rising Sun campground on Going to the Sun Road. Here, you can take a boat ride on St Mary Lake. The third location, which is a little further away (approx.40 min) is in Two Medicine. This boat trip will take you out on Two Medicine Lake.

Many Glacier, Glacier National Park, is located about 15-20 minutes from my house and is a must see if you're in the area! Incredible views, wildlife, a beautiful historic lodge, restaurants, and most importantly, hiking!

Rising sun campground has a boat dock across the street and they host boat tours of upper Saint Mary lake. The captains are amazing and have a wide knowledge to share with the guests.

Two Medicine is another great place to spend a day hiking or relaxing near the stunning water. A little further away than Many Glacier and St Mary, but unique and perhaps slightly less busy. Check out the campground, Boat Co, souvenir shop and hiking trails.

Another option in the area for last-minute needs or cravings is St Mary Grocery. It has beer, wine, staples and some local-made treats like salsas, jams, and honey. The small shops around here are significantly more expensive than in town, so I always recommend trying to bring everything you may want. But this is an option if you find yourself absolutely needing pancake mix, gatorade, chips or any number of food/personal items.

Iceberg lake is 4.8 miles (one way) with about 1200ft of elevation gain along the way and offers stunning views of Glacier National Park. Bear spray is highly recommended on all trails in the park.

This is your chance to see a real glacier up close! Another one of my favorite trails in the park. This trail is about 5.3 miles (one way) with 1600ft of elevation gain. A strenuous day hike consisting of crazy beautiful views the entire time!

A peaceful walk through the woods leads to a beautiful glacier silt ridden lake tucked back and surrounded by mountains on all sides. This trail is shared by horses, so be prepared, it might smell a little bit.

Short Hikes
This short 1 mile (one way) trail with 700ft of elevation leads to a beautiful waterfall! One of my favorite waterfalls in the park! Be prepared, although short, this hike is strenuous.

Visit this beautiful waterfall surrounded by mountains! A short and easy 1.8 miles (one way) leads you past a couple of lakes frequented by moose and finally brings you right to Redrock Falls!

Across from Thronson's General Store is a self serve gas station. If you're planning a trip to Canada, be sure and fill up! This is the last gas station before the border and gas can be pricey in Canada. Browning is also a 45 minute drive to town. Don't risk running out of fuel; road side assistance can take 4-8 hrs to get out here.

This is a great little shop for gifts and camping gear. From coats, shoes, backpacks, sleeping bags, and hammocks to t-shirts, puzzles, blankets and knick-knacks. It's a fun place to browse and spend some vacation money!
