Food scene
Elegant creative southern style restaurant, wonderful atmosphere, great service. Make sure to make reservations at least a week in advance. Super basement bar with food service, no reservation needed, that has a piano/vocal entertainment in the evening, a big log fireplace going on cool evenings, and may-be a ghost floating around?

Savannah tradition....."to go" adult beverage
Don't leave that unfinished drink behind! Just ask your server for your drink "to go" and they will pour it into a plastic cup to take with you. The area that you will be in, historic downtown Savannah, has an unusual law that drinks (adult beverage) are allowed for your walks, as long as it is in a plastic cup, no glass containers, beer cans, etc.

Kroger on Gwinnet st Downtown Savannah
I have read online that delivery is free for orders over $35. I have never used this service since it is not a far drive and there is a large parking lot. A convenient option.

Go online to check things out
I would recommend to go to www.tripadvisor.com for Savannah Ga and click on heading "Things to do". There are many, many options. Tour historic homes, Savannah Culinary & Cultural Walking Tour, Candlelight Ghost Tour, Hearse Ghost Tour, etc., etc. Way too many to list.

Again, I would advise to go to www.tripadvisor.com for various restaurant information, reviews and photos. Hit the "restaurant" tab. There are many restaurants to choose from. From very fancy, elegant culinary experiences to a great cheeseburger, local southern fare to Asian delights. The restaurants I have listed are all within a 20 minute stroll. So park the car and enjoy the scenery! I have provided a list of some of our favorites.

River street and Broughton street
River st has many restaurants and bars, popular tourist nightlife hangout. Broughton st is also a fun street with lots of restaurants and shopping. Also, try Ellis square on the weekends especially, where often times they have live music. Good people watching.
