Super close - at the corner of Berteau and Lincoln). Korean BBQ and some great traditional Korean dishes. BYOB. No reservations. Lines can get long. Strongly recommend DeungShim-Gui (#3 under table top cooking on the menu) and BiBim NaengMyeon (#4 on the noodle section - be careful with the spicy sauce).

Brewpub and bottle shop. Half Acre is best known for Daisy Cutter (https://www.chicagotribune.com/dining/ct-food-daisy-cutter-pale-ale-half-acre-10-years-old-20190415-story.html), but there's a lot more to them than just one beer.

One of the best places for deep dish in Chicago, they maintain quality despite having a bunch of locations. Strongly recommend The Lou or the Malnati Chicago Classic. My old review with more info is here: https://chicago.seriouseats.com/2011/01/lou-malnatis-chicago-best-deep-dish-pizza.html

Chicago is blessed with stellar Mexican food. For tacos, the best can be found in the Pilsen or Little Village neighborhoods or at Birrieria Zaragoza near Midway Airport. But if you're looking for something top notch close by, the carne asada tacos at Taqueria el Asadero are the way to go.

This is my favorite coffee shop in the neighborhood. Buy a cup there or get some beans to make your own in the Airbnb. They also have solid pastries and bagels. Conveniently located right by the Montrose Brown Line station.

You will not find a bigger fan of Neapolitan pizza or Italy than Spacca Napoli owner Jonathan Goldsmith. The pizza is stellar but don't miss the appetizers, especially if their burrata is available.
