This is a beautiful area to hike and see the Crags, Mt Shasta views and nature. Castle Crag State park. There is a picnic area as well. The hike to the top is about 3-4 hours round trip. Best time is mid-spring to fall. Summer hikes are good to start earlier in the day.

This is a great hiking area for all levels. You can also take a dip in the water on a hot day. Trail has lots of shade.
