A cozy cottage behind a lovely Victorian house. It has a 3/4 bath (shower). The cottage has a brick patio and a large trellis covered with roses and grape vines set in an English Garden. Also, see our equally nice "Victorian in the Heart of Ballard" rental: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/20928
A cozy cottage behind a lovely Victorian house with separate access and a 3/4 (meaning shower but no bathtub) bathroom. The cottage has a brick patio and a large trellis on the south side covered with roses, grape vines, and wisteria and is surrounded by an English Garden. The pictures posted should give you the right idea. (Alternative accommodation: We also have a really lovely rental space in the main house. See: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/20928 ) The cottage: there is a microwave, a small fridge, and an electric kettle for making coffee or tea. It offers considerable privacy if that is desired. The bed is queen-sized. Extra high-speed WiFi is also provided along with cable TV, including all of the premium channels. It is also possible to close some giant wood-paneled pocket doors if you want to divide the studio into a bedroom and sitting room, if case someone wants to sleep and someone else does not. The cottage is used as a studio by Liz (who is the English gardener) when it is not being used as a guest house. So there is a lot of (really excellent) art, mostly studies in the human form, on the walls and shelves. (If you would like a cast of one of the statues, talk to Liz.) The Ballard Neighborhood is a great place to visit: *10 minute walk to downtown Ballard with fabulous bars and restaurants, great Sunday farmers market, nice three-screen cinema, and much more. *5 minute walk to the Ballard Locks, where ships enter and exit Puget Sound from Seattle waterways. *10 minute drive to downtown Seattle. Buses also run regularly downtown from close by - either to downtown Seattle or to the University District and elsewhere. Evenings are very quiet here and the air quality is unusually good for a city. We get a fresh sea breeze off of Puget Sound in the early evening. Guests find the cottage a calming and refreshing refuge from the bustle of the city.
Ballard is a fantastic destination neighborhood for restaurants and bars and music. We are an easy walk (5-10 minutes) from downtown Ballard. Great breakfast places even closer.
  • Brad and Liz were amazing hosts! We went up to Seattle and stayed in their beautiful cottage for two days. It was close enough to the city and it was amazing having a cozy home base where we could just relax after a long day of playing tourist. Brad and Liz were accommodating and great hosts. There was never an issue of communication and they went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely little corner of the world.

  • Brad and Liz are wonderful hosts and their cottage is a delight:: quiet and comfortable. And their garden is beautiful too. We would definitely stay there again if we return to Seattle

  • This place is wonderful-just as it was listed and just as the photos show. There is a superlatively friendly cat that came calling a few times, the garden is lovely and Brad and Liz extremely nice. Perfect!

  • Cute cottage in an amazing garden. Very comfortable and great location. Loved our stay. Brad and Liz were very welcoming and helpful with tips and directions.

    Shauna2018-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Brad and Liz's cottage was perfect. It was clean, warm, comfortable, and they have water, tea and a small fridge which were all very much appreciated. The artwork and sculptures in the cottage were outstanding. Unfortunately we never had the chance to meet Brad or Liz. We were there for a baptism so our days were long and full. I look forward to staying with them again sometime!

  • The cottage is a well-appointed, comfortable sanctuary set in a beautiful outside space. The bed is comfortable. You can watch TV from bed or in the sitting area. The kitchen has everything you need. The bathroom was recently renovated; it's spacious with plenty of counter space, a deep tub/shower, subway tile, etc. Nice lighting throughout. The Capitol Hill neighborhood is great to walk around; lots of coffee, bars and restaurants to choose from. When it was time to check out, I didn't want to leave. I hope the cottage is available next time I'm in Seattle.

Great location in a quiet neighborhood but close to shops and restaurants of Wallingford and Fremont and right next to the bus stop which takes you straight to Downtown for 2.50. The room itself is beautifully done, super clean and really relaxing and Regina was helpful and welcoming. The mattress is the most comfortable I have ever slept on, we looked into how we could buy one! Highly recommended to anyone visiting Seattle!

Escape the bustle of the city and relax in a cozy backyard sanctuary. Sample local craft beer in an Adirondack chair in the garden, and switch on a heat lamp when it gets chilly. Watch a widescreen TV from the bed and make espresso in the morning.
This adorable cottage comes complete with queen bed, hardwood flooring, kitchenette with Farmhouse sink, kitchen island, fridge freezer, Kuerig coffee maker, toaster, slow cooker, and induction hot plate. With a 50 gallon water heater there will be enough hot water for all your needs. The high end bathroom is completed with a Kohler sink, toilet and hardware. There is also a closet to hang and store clothes and bags. The cottage is heated via high efficiency electric infra red heaters mounted on the ceiling. There is also a whole house ventilation system to keep the air fresh throughout the year (the switch to turn hi/low or on/off is inside the closet). Cable TV, wifi and a DVD player are also available. Amazon and Netflix are included on the smart TV for your use with your own passwords. Free parking is available on the street in front of the Cottage/Main house.
The Seattle neighborhood of Ballard has many restaurants, bars, coffee shops, a cinema, bakeries, and quirky stores. The Sunday market is a must. Golden Gardens Beach, the Ballard Locks, and the Nordic Heritage Museum are all close by.
  • The cottage was super comfortable and impeccably clean, with all the modern amenities you would need. Bev and Grant were easy to communicate with and even left us a tasty local beer in the fridge to enjoy on the porch! Loved how close this spot was to so many cool areas in the Ballard neighborhood that we could easily walk to. Would definitely stay here again!

    Lizzie2019-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a perfect stay at Bev and Grant's! Located near so many great restaurants and shops in Ballard, it was the perfect base for exploring the city as well as enjoying the neighborhood! The charming guesthouse, just as pictured, had everything we possibly needed. Check in / out and communication was a breeze and Bev was a fantastic host! Thanks again for a great stay. :)

    Donna2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • The backyard cottage was extremely clean and comfortable. Bev was very good at communicating the needed information about the cottage. Ballard is a nice place with many restaurants and shops. The bus line was a short walk away. If you are looking for a quiet, clean and comfortable place to stay check this place out!!

    Teresa2017-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay for a first timer in Seattle! Set close enough to downtown Seattle that a quick cab ride got us there in less than 15. Ballard was a great area we explored one of our days as well. The cottage was the perfect amount of space for two and Bev made sure we were well taken care of during our stay. If you are looking to stay a bit removed from center city, I couldn’t recommend a better place. Thanks Bev!

    Bill2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely awesome place to stay! The cottage was a great getaway in the heart of Ballard, especially during the snowy weekend. Bev and Grant were fantastic hosts and they even had a bottle of their favorite Pacific Northwest Beer waiting in the fridge for us! We’ll certainly be back, but in the meantime, can’t recommend this place strongly enough!

    Nick2019-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely private spot. Clean and quiet. Hosts were very responsive. Would stay again.

    Danny2019-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place, very comfortable and updated cottage with all the amenities that you need for a home away from home visit. The neighborhood is residential, but very close to the bus line which connects with Seattle's great public transportation system. Lots of places to eat and shop within walking distance. The owners live on site, but are not intrusive but are available if you should need them for anything. The only minor complaint that I had is that I wish the water temperature were a little hotter, but otherwise, I would definitely stay again if ever in the Seattle area.

    Yvonne2017-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • This backyard cottage is a hidden gem in Ballard. The cottage is so comfortable, clean and cozy with every amenity you could think of, including a spare umbrella! Bev and Grant are right there if you need any help. You are in a neighborhood setting but close to coffee shops and restaurants, downtown Ballard, and public transportation. Gives you a real feel for living in Seattle.

The West Seattle neighborhood is a favorite of Seattlites--known for its friendly people, stellar views, excellent restaurants and bars, and most famously, Alki Beach.
  • This place is just lovely! It's easy to take public transit to downtown Seattle and saves you the hassle of parking. The location is also close to some beautiful views nearby. We loved our stay and would definitely come back!

    Saunders2016-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Loved my stay here. Surrounded by reclaimed wood which provided for a nice uke sound as seen on the pictures. Speakers embedded into the ceiling were a great touch. Outside space was relaxing and private. Would definitely stay again.

    Aldean2019-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great time at this tiny house. The location is great, on top of one of the biggest hills in west seattle. Views are amazing right down the street and Alkai Beach is soo close.

    Adam2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is the coolest of tiny houses! If you’ve seen the pictures you already know that. What you don’t already know is that Tipsy’s owners make checking in and out easy with a key code & they even left the front light on for us - super homey! The house feels surprisingly large for its size - a very impressive feat considering how small it is! They thought of everything from a pint size coffee maker to a cozy blanket for snuggling on the couch - all your needs will be met here and more. Also, impressive water pressure!

    Elizabeth2018-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a quaint place, very comfortable and close to everything. It’s small and compact but has everything at your fingertips, truly a diamond in the rough!

    Teresa2018-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful location to stay at. The shower isn't like other tiny houses that only have about 2 minutes of hot water and the whole place was designed and built by the owners. So special!

    Tierney2018-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Tipsy the Tiny is the ideal home away from home. The details that went into this tiny made our stay beyond cozy. We can’t wait to stay again!

Conveniently located near the Island's village & Seattle ferry, this 200sq ft architecturally-designed, eco-friendly backyard guesthouse is the perfect getaway. Ride into town on the bikes, enjoy the hot tub, garden patio and fire-pit. ***Ask us about adding a sailing excursion to your stay!
This is a 200 sq ft guesthouse located next to our main house in the backyard. It has its own bathroom and shower, and kitchenette - a coffee maker with complimentary coffee and tea selection. A mini-fridge, microwave, electric tea kettle complete the kitchenette. The studio is flooded with natural light and a full suite of blinds on lower windows provides complete privacy should you desire that. Like the unit, the hot water heater is small so short showers (6 mins) are recommended (unless you like them cold). If you like long showers this is probably not the place for you. If the water begins to lose heat, it only takes about 30min to recharge. We also have a pack-n-play available upon request for a baby. Just keep in mind that the space gets pretty tight when it is in there. The guesthouse does not have a TV but you'll find a delightful patio garden with a fire-pit, gas grill and hot tub to enjoy instead. The guesthouse is located in a quiet residential neighborhood near to our little town of Winslow and all its amenities, and close to the Bainbridge/Seattle ferry. While not in the country it has a delightful mix of deep green, moss, and natural sunlight. We think it's perfect. We might have a slight bias, but still. **Please scroll down this page (below the reviews) to read more details on our location and how to get around.
Our Island guesthouse is just under a mile (.9), about a 15 minute walk from the Seattle ferry, a 25 minute (1 mile) walk to the quaint village of Bainbridge Island (Winslow) and only a 5 minute walk, through the back of our neighborhood, to our up-town shopping area: Ace Hardware, McDonalds, Walgreens, Safeway, Family Restaurants & of course a Starbucks. In a car or on a bike, it's all moments away. Our residential neighborhood is full of kind, working families and it's quiet. The place has a unique blend of being close in, while feeling a bit further out.

Our Little House is easy walking distance from some of Seattle's best coffee, restaurants, markets and retail stores. The house, formerly a garage, was completely renovated in 2013. It sits behind our main house and includes shared access to a courtyard, outdoor seating and a BBQ grill.
When Benjamin was 9, he vacationed with his family in a loft style cabin. His love of lofts grew from there. Originally built as a guest house for family and friends and used as an occasional home office, we decided to open it up to travelers who want to visit Seattle and in particular our community of Ballard. The house is 363 square feet and contains a sleeping loft accessed by a ship style ladder. Guests access the house through a separate gate at the end of our driveway, which opens into the courtyard. The house is quiet and comfortable complete with a kitchen, small fridge, living area and bathroom. The queen sized bed is new as of September 2016.
Ballard is a popular Seattle neighborhood with a rich Scandinavian heritage and history as a "sleepy fishing village." Ballard isn't sleepy anymore. Our neighborhood is hopping with retail, nightlife and great restaurants. Independent shops including two record and CD stores, an independent bookstore and many non-chain restaurants and retail stores. We have easy access to the Metro bus just one block away from our place. A 15 - 20 minute ride by car or bus puts you downtown near the WA state ferries, Pike's market, the Space Needle and Seattle Center. Golden Gardens (one of our favs) is two miles away and has a beach including views of the Olympic mountains and the Puget Sound. Our Airbnb guidebook has recommendations for many of our top places. If you are looking for something not covered in the guidebook, let us know and we will do our best to point you in the right direction.
  • Great place as long as you're fully aware that there is no privacy in the bathroom and there is a huge skylight right over the bed. With the shorter nights in Seattle in the summer months, we had a hard time getting decent sleep. Also, with no air conditioning, the house gets stuffy in the heat of the day. When we stayed the high was 84 so it was pretty hot. The house is very cute though and super clean. The neighborhood is great and there are plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, bars, shops and a great grocery store all within close walking distance.

  • Great communication. Super convenient in terms of location and check-in. Very pleasant experience overall!

  • Fantastic location! Easy commute into Seattle city central. We used Uber. Very walkable neighborhood. Great choice of eateries. Close to beach. Beautiful accommodations. Super clean! Pleasantly surprised that locks were a quick walk from downtown.

    Karen2017-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location, very clean, quiet and comfortable. Very short walking distance to quaint shops and cafes. There was just enough space for two people and it never felt cramped. The hosts clearly paid attention to detail, making sure the house was fully stocked for new soaps, paper towels and tissues, and fresh towels and linens. We loved looking at the stars from the large skylight above the bed. Didn't mind climbing a ladder to get upstairs- (except it kind of sucks doing it in the middle of the night to use the bathroom). Place was well designed and location is excellent. Would love to stay again on my next visit.

    Jordana2017-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • This truly was a magical place. It is tucked away in Ballard and is so close to everything from the restaurants to the beach. What a unique and extraordinary place to vacation! You must try cafe Besalu and have a fire in the backyard.

    Andrew2018-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Great hosts! Very convenient location in Ballard. I would stay here anytime.

    Shelby2016-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I booked a quick weekend getaway. We loved the style and thoughtful touches of Benjamin's tiny house, especially the books and the ladder to the loft :) It was easy to find and easy to come & go as we pleased. We could walk to downtown Ballard in 5 minutes -- yet the space itself felt amazingly private and quiet. I'd book it again in a heartbeat!

    Stephanie2018-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Benjamin’s place was absolutely perfect for my weekend trip to Seattle. The house was absolutely adorable and had everything we needed, including coffee and snacks! The neighborhood was quiet but walking distance to tons of restaurants, shops, coffee, etc. Loved staying here!

My place is close to Roanoke Park, UW, Amazon, Microsoft, and Children's Hospital. You’ll love my place because of the comfy bed, the coziness, and the views. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

You will have total privacy, your own back door, 1 bedroom, a living area with breakfast bar and wet bar / kitchen and full bathroom with a newly tiled shower. Roku is provided on 50 inch tv with Netflix already to go. Milk, tea, coffee and cereal are also provided. Main bed is Queen sized. Second bed is a single sized rollaway. Both have full bleeding, blankets etc. Towels are also provided.
Portage bay is ideally located for access to UW (20 min walk), Downtown, Amazon, and access to Microsoft (short drive or bus on 520). Also, we are in walking distance to the UW Light Rail station, for travel to the airport.
  • This suite was perfect for a girlfriends getaway! The neighbourhood is adorable, the suite is comfortable and clean and Pete was friendly and gave us awesome suggestions about where to hangout before we went to a show. Would absolutely stay here again!

  • Pete and Anna are great hosts! The location is comfortable and very private. Peter is very responsive and will give you suggestions of where to get decent food or supplies around the neighborhood. I would definitely return if I need a place to stay the night in Seattle again.

  • Pete's place was perfect for our stay in Seattle. With a separate basement entrance, we felt super relaxed and cozy. There was a beautiful garden outside and tons to explore nearby. We ended up walking everywhere and found some favorite neighborhood gems to come back to next time.

  • Kathy’s place is great. Has everything you need. Great location for exploring the city too!

    Ashley2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I loved this place. We were minutes away from a lot to do in the city. Amenities included a kitchen, a comfortable bed, a washer/dryer, and a clean bathroom stocked with fresh towels and soap! 10/10 would book again.

  • This adorable cottage had everything we needed for our weekend Seattle getaway! Everything was clean, and there was a comfortable bed, kitchen with a fridge, and shower and bathroom. It was the perfect central location. We would definitely book the cottage again!

  • Sure was great to find a nice place so close to the sights of Seattle and so accessible from the airport with 1-train and then bus #33. The space was absolutely perfect; so comfortable and quiet! We sure appreciated having the kitchen to prep a couple meals. The bed and sheets were like new. The bathroom was spacious with a nice shower. The neighborhood was also nice and it was easy to navigate when we got our rental car.

    Jane2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • We never saw Kathy but were only there for one night. She was extremely helpful and accommodating when we wanted to drop our luggage off before check in time. This was awesome because we didn't want to cart our luggage around with us all day. The cottage was very clean and well appointed. Very comfortable and cute. I would stay there again.

  • My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Rachel’s place. It’s super cute and personal with a great balcony. Good location in a cool neighbourhood and a pleasant walk to downtown.

    Brenna2019-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean apartment, the walk to and from the city was not bad at all, very good location. Rachel's responses were always prompt, if I needed anything. I would definitely stay again if I'm ever in Seattle.

    Geoffrey2019-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay. 30 minute walk from like everything (aquarium, pikes, pioneer square, shopping district, etc) as long as you're not afraid of some hills! The area is residential but has a lot of bars and restaurants, it's super nice to have your break from the touristy areas at night! The space is small but perfect for a couple as long as you keep the spaced tidy. Also the bathroom is huge for this tiny apartment! There are plants everywhere which is a beautiful touch and the balcony and porthole window by the bed have a view of the city. The bed is comfy and there are extra blankets provided if you need them. She also left some eggs and orange juice in the fridge that we could use. Rachel literally always replied in like seconds if I needed anything. Also she has a little table with more info, house rules, etc and a basket of maps and pamphlets of things to do around Seattle which I found really helpful. If you're coming in the summer don't worry about the lack of AC she provides a fan and it never gets too hot anyway also long as you leave some windows open. Overall the space is super cute and the location is great especially for the price, would stay here again if I was coming back to Seattle!

    Sasha2016-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great stay with Rachel - she has a really cool place in a great part of town and everything was totally easy! Thanks so much Rachel and I'd love to stay at your place again next time I'm in Seattle! Thank you!!:)

  • A really spacious place with plenty of room to rest! (: Fern was very responsive and gave us lots of recommendations! However, they should have told us that the washer and dryer were down as we wanted to do some laundry that night, so that it’s more reflective of the listing. But overall, an excellent place!

    Jazlyn2018-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • The home was very tidy, well equipped, and roomy for the four of us. Fern gave us excellent dining tips. We ended up going to three of her recommended places and loved them all. We had a great visit in Seattle! Thanks Fern and Loren!

This is charming detached, completely private studio guest house located centrally in the Madison Valley neighborhood in Seattle, Washington. It has a full private bathroom with shower and tub, a private keyless entrance, and a kitchenette with a small refrigerator. It also has off-street parking if you're driving, and access to a charming backyard area for relaxing.
Entrance: Check-in is easy, because the door is secured with an entrance code that is not reused. No keys to get or return! We send you your code and you can enter at any time day or night without arranging a time for us to give you keys. Privacy: This is a 100% private, detached unit. Parking and Driving: There is free parking available on 30th Avenue or on Dewey behind the unit. 520 is about 5 minutes away, giving you very quick access to either I5 or the East Side. Transportation: There is a ZipCar at 24th and Madison. There are usually Car2Go cars on Madison near by. The bus stop is at E Madison St & 28th Ave E, less than a five minute walk away. Downtown is about ten minutes on the 11 bus. The 8 bus provides quick access to Seattle Center, Capitol Hill, Rainier Valley, and the Mount Baker Link station. Internet: Free internet of course. We *don't* currently have a TV in the unit. Fine Dining: Madison Valley has some of Seattle's best dining. Our favorite reastaurants within a five minute walk are: Luc, Voila, La Cote, and Belle Epicurean (all French), The Harvest Vine (Basque), Cafe Flora (vegetarian), and Jae's (Asian bistro). Fast Food: Pagliacci Pizza is located one block North East on Lake Washington Blvd and Madison. There is also a Pizza Hut (carryout or delivery only) and a Terriaki place on Madison and 28th. Groceries: For groceries Trader Joe's (Madison and 17th) and Safeway (Madison and 22nd) are within walking distance, but be aware they are uphill! Convenience Store: Madison Valley Market (Madison and 29th) is less than five minutes away and has lots of groceries, snacks, beer and wine. Coffee: The Essential Baking Company (Madison and 29th) is a great place to grab a cup of coffee and a snack, or a full meal. Belle Epicurean is also a good place for a quick cup of coffee. Bed: This is an Ikea Hemnes king-sized bed with mattress and boxsprings. Bath: You get a full private bathroom with a soaker tub, shower, and plenty of towels. Kitchen: You have a half-sized refridgerator with freezer in the unit that you can use. There is also a kitchen sink, a microwave and a small (two person) coffeemaker. We also provide a tea kettle, a hot-plate and a small sauce pan. (Although we don't recommend this kitchen for lots of cooking as there is no kitchen exhaust fan.) Safety: This is one of Seattle's safest neighborhoods. Since you're in our backyard, we're around in case you need any assistance. Health & Fitness: Lila Yoga (29th and Madison) is a fantastic yoga studio. Kate's Day Spa (2713 E. Madison Street) is an excellent place to relax, and is open on weekends. Seattle Shambhala Center is a Buddhist Temple and is located two blocks down. It has an Open House (good for beginners) every Thursday evening. Arboretum: The best thing about this neighborhood is the Arboretum. You're less than five minutes away -- just cross Madison. Arboretum highlights include hiking, canoeing and kayaking, picnics, a full soccer court, and enjoying the year-round collection of magnificent flowers, plants and trees. The Arboretum also houses the Seattle Japanese Garden, open from February to November, a 3 1/2 acre formal garden. It features a lake with koi and turtles, community room rentals, tea ceremonies and special events all year round. At the north end of the park is Foster Island, which is an amazing and peaceful place to visit, with pedestrian trails that connect the island to the mainland. Madison Park: Madison Park is within walking distance, although a longer walk than some may want to take. In the summer this park becomes Seattle's access to swim in Lake Washington.
Madison Valley is a charming Seattle village with a European flair. We offer an eclectic mix of sophisticated shops, services, and restaurants. Our independently owned businesses attract visitors from afar, and shopkeepers greet customers by name. Here you’ll find people enjoying the good life, strolling the sidewalks, pausing to chat and explore. Join us, say hello, and stay awhile.
  • We never actually met J, but he was available by phone and, we easily let ourselves into the cabin using our assigned combination. The cottage is modern and clean and cleverly outfitted, and our view of the private walled garden under way at the back was a bonus. Conveniently located in a modest neighborhood, it worked well for our two day visit with family not far away.

    Johanna2016-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • J's place was exactly as pictured and a great place to stay! If you're looking for a place to stay in a quiet, cute neighborhood, this is a great option.

  • FABULOUS PLACE! If you’re looking to visit Seattle and be out of the hustle abs bustle, this is your spot. In an adorable neighborhood within walking distance of multiple restaurants, this is the perfect place to unwind after a long day out in the town. J is a great host and was available if we needed him. If I’m back in Seattle, this is my first choice.

    Natalie2018-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • We really liked Julius's guest house. It is separate from the main house in a tranquil backyard, has all the amenities that we needed, and is nicely decorated. Parking is easy, and the neighborhood is quiet and offers nice eateries and places to enjoy being outside (especially the Washington Park Arboretum). Julius himself is communicative and clear. Any questions that arose he had answers for right away. I would definitely stay at Julius's guest house again!

    Kip2015-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • J was an amazing host. The location was great- in a quiet neighborhood but had cute shops within walking distance. He made great recommendations on where to go and eat. He was right- the restaurant Harvest & Vine was delicious. I wouldn't have gone there if it weren't for his guide book. He also checked up on us during our stay via text. We even had the option of checking in a little early. The space was cozy and the bed was super comfortable. This was our first Airbnb experience and we had a very pleasant stay.

    Janine2016-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Extremely responsive and made everything simple and easy!

    Tristan2018-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great cottage in a great location close to downtown and within walking distance to lots of good restaurants and coffee. Good communication and super smooth. Easier than a hotel even!

  • Julius was a very friendly host and we loved staying at the detached unit behind his house. Very clean and cosy place. It was situated close to fun coffee shops and restaurants and we loved walking to the arboretum close by. Awesome spot!

Your private bedroom is on the lower level of the house. The queen bed features a high-end firm mattress. Sunny mornings fill the room with light. Alternatively, draw the blinds and curtains for a nice sleep in. Extra blankets and space heater are provided for those who run cold. Your bathroom is on the upper level and is shared by this and another guest bedroom. It features stone tiling, a large whirlpool tub/shower, and amenities such as shampoo, toothpaste, and clean fluffy towels.
My cute craftsman features an open floor plan allowing for lovely flow from the kitchen through the dining room to the living room. The kitchen features granite counter tops, gas cooking, and restaurant grade appliances. Feel free to use the microwave and fridge at your convenience. Let me know if you’d like to cook; I ’d be happy to assist you. The living room focuses around a wood burning fireplace. Weather permitting, I’d be happy to build a fire for you. Please feel free to use the large flat screen. It is connected to a Roku and a DVD player. Sorry, no cable. There is also an elliptical machine you are welcome to use. The living room opens up to a balcony that runs the length of the house. It has both seating and dining areas. Basked in sunlight most of the day, it can be a great place to relax. The balcony looks out over the large yard, herb gardens, and fire pit. Again, weather permitting, I’d be happy to build a fire for you. PARKING-Ample free street parking INTERNET-Free high speed wifi LAUNDRY-facilities are available for use upon request. Please provide your own detergent and dryer sheets. ***Cuteness Disclaimer*** I have a chinchilla named Casey that is contained in his own room of the house. I’d be happy to introduce you upon request. You may suffer from cuteness overload, the results of which I cannot be held responsible.
Janessa’s home is located in Seattle, Washington, United States. Magnolia is a quiet residential neighborhood located on a peninsula northwest of downtown. It is one of the city’s safest neighborhoods. Walking distance from: -Grocery store -Restaurants -Bars -Cafes (My favorite, Caffe Appassionato, just a 5 min walk) -Multiple parks including Seattle’s largest, Discovery Park -Fisherman's Terminal with the Fisherman’s memorial, a beautiful view of Salmon Bay, Ballard Bridge, and Chinooks (one of my favorite restaurants). -Ballard Locks and Salmon Ladder -Ballard, a neighborhood to the north known for quaint shops, night life, brunch spots, and Sunday Farmers’ Market. If you’d like to venture further afield, the house is just a 20 minute bus ride or a 5-10 minute drive from downtown Seattle and attractions like Seattle Space Needle, Pike Place Market, Pacific Science Center, EMP, Seattle Center, Lake Union, Gasworks park, and so much more. Getting around If you're renting a car or driving into town, there is plenty of free street parking. Seattle has a strong Uber and Lyft presence. My house is close to several bus stops. (I can't be more help here. I don't take the bus.)
  • Janessa is an outstanding host and her place is super comfortable and clean. Plenty of street parking and a block from the bus to downtown. Highly recommended!

    Nate2018-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great place in the cutest neighbourhood incredibly close to public transport. Janessa was very responsive, and even provided free snacks.

  • It was a lovely place! We had no problems checking in or out! The house was clean and very welcoming. We loved Janessa’s lovely touches that she has done to the home. She was thoughtful as a host! She had complimentary snacks/drinks and toiletries if you forgot something. We will definitely stay again when in Seattle! Thanks Janessa!

    Jenna2018-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Too much rules for less welcoming. Also her rules need to be post up front so we as a customer decide if it works or not .... if I knew there were tooooo many rules I would never rent her place. She wasn't available and never answer my text msg when I was on way to her place. Also when I saw her the second day, her welcome was very cold including not looking without eye contact and also asking me immediately to remove my shoes because I came in a house with shoes. There are several cameras around the house ( upstairs and downstairs) that was very uncomfortable for me. I left my shower shampoo and facial wash cream for being use next day again and when I came back in the bathroom my products wasn't there. She , (without communicate with me ) removed my products and put in a lost and found box that found after one hour looking around. For the price and all this kind of service and treatment , I for sure, would be better staying in a hotel . I definitly not recommend this place at all.

    Ma2019-11-10T00:00:00Z

Hello! Our house is a couple blocks off broadway in the northern section of the Capitol Hill neighborhood. We are a mix of locals, folks new to the area and travelers This is a great place for guests on a budget who enjoy sharing common space with locals and other travelers. This is also a great option to anyone just moving to the area.
Hello! Our house is a couple blocks off broadway in the northern section of the Capitol Hill neighborhood. The room is one of five bedrooms in our house. You will be staying with roommates and other airbnb guests. We have a cozy kitchen, bathroom and living room with lots of light! You can do laundry downstairs ($1 wash / $1 dry), and hang out in our lovely living room. Our house is the tall, dark and handsome type, height / weight proportionate, with a red brick exterior (if you're into that sort of thing). Good to know we are an older home, not a hotel so the aesthetics come with the territory. We're two blocks from Broadway, with a stupid amount of cool shit and buses within walking distance. You can get to the Pike/Pine nightlife in a short 10-minute walk. Broadway has transformed from its grungy gutter-punk needles-and-heroin 90s roots. Maklemore filmed a music video here last night. Sir Mix-A-Lot wrote "My Posse's on Broadway" about it. Pearl Jam came up with their name at B&O Espresso just down the block (RIP B&O – now moved to Ballard). We also live right by the library, and we've even been there a few times. The room can hold one person. The room is a converted attic so its ceilings are slopped on the sides of the room. For folks over 6 ft this may feel like a squeeze. The room has closet space, desk and chair, lamps, 4 bath towels, bedding provided, shelving and drawer space, french press, hot water pot, tea and coffee, iron and ironing board, TV with basic cable and locked 2 drawer file cabinet provided. The locked 2 drawer cabinet key will be on top of the file cabinet upon guest room check in. Guests should return the key to on top of the file cabinet when they check out from the room. The room door has a lockable deadbolt on it so guests can lock their room when in or leaving the room. The wifi signal is weak in this room so we have an ethernet cord that runs to the room. Guests in this room are welcome to use our living room anytime of the day where the wifi signal is strong. We supply a fan and air purifier in the room that also act as background noise. We find that in a house with several people these can be helpful tools to minimizing noise disturbances. We also provide ear plugs in this room. The room is on our third floor which is a converted attic. The third floor has leah's room, a shared space where an airbnb guest may stay and this room. As we only have one bathroom we limit the overall number of guests in the house to 5 at one time. Due to this we limit the guests in this room to one guest. The 2nd floor contains all of our common spaces. Guests are welcome to use all common spaces in our house. We ask that guests not enter private spaces or any door that is unlabeled. The bathroom is labeled and the kitchen and living room have open door ways. The laundry room is in the basement. Directions will be provided in the house manual after finalizing booking. Be aware that our house is older, and feels very lived-in. The paint and furniture have blemishes, our carpets have stains that won't quit and our tile floor looks like it needs a mopping even after a vigorous cleaning. Our building has some elements that disrupt wifi signal (brick etc) so the signal can be weak in certain areas of the house. The living room has great signal and is available to all guests any time of day. We deep clean the house a couple times a week and do daily light cleaning. While our house shows it age, it will always be cleaned up and ready for guests! We appreciate our house for the location and the people. Our neighborhood can be challenging to park in and only street parking is available. You'll be staying with two of us and a few other airbnb guests: Leah: Leah has lived in the house since 2011 Leah is a Midwest transplant who grew up in Michigan and spent a few years in Chicago before relocating to Seattle. Living with Leah is like summer camp. Her favorite moments in life are (1) when the power goes out (camping time!), (2) summer barbecues, and (3) when everyone wants to have a dance party. She's really good at people. Leah has several part time jobs that range from working as an ABA therapy assistant (therapy for youth with Autism), staff in a young adult shelter, Residential Advisor for High School International students in a dorm setting and driving with Lyft. Leah likes to keep busy and is often out of the house. You are most likely to see her around if you are at the house during late morning/early afternoon or get a ride from her! Andrew: Andrew has lived in the house since 2017. Andrew is originally from florida and loves cooking with butter, playing D&D, world building for games, history, science and spicy snacks. Andrew is pursuing a career in nursing and currently works with international high school students in a dorm setting.
  • Leah was very welcoming and friendly. The house is in a great location, a short walk from many restaurants and bars in Capitol Hill. At one point during my stay, the light bulb died, but Leah provided me with a new one almost instantaneously. Would definitely recommend!

  • The room description was accurate and there wasn't any interaction with the hosts. The place kind of spoke for itself through little signs and notes hung everywhere. The room was spacious and put together well.

    Fouad2015-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Good for price.

    Charles2018-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • The room was exactly what I was looking for. Great neighborhood and an all around good experience.

  • Everyone was extremely welcoming and flexible with our arrival and departure time. Michael and his roommates are great hosts that made us feel right at home. Thank you!

    Gwen2015-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • Very welcoming place, full of friendly people ready to share a glass of wine or diner with you. Though the room reminded me of my student years (very basic, just a bed and shelves), this was all I needed to stay for a couple of nights, at a cheap price in a beautiful residential area were you will sure have very pleasant walks. Close to Capitol Hill lively district, but also a couple of blocks away from a big supermarket, 5 mn walk from buses. Last but not least, I was a bit worried that noise in the house would be an issue (the room being adjacent to the kitchen were people go back and forth) but as soon as my light was off, never heard a noise (and I am very sensitive).

    Alric2014-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great visit at Michael and Leah's place. They make sure the room and their house is very welcoming for guests. The bed is warm and comfortable. Had a great visit. Cool part of town as well.

    John 2015-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • Michael, Leah, Nick, and Austin were a pleasure to stay with! My brother and I actually didn't end up spending much time in the house, Seattle kept us very busy, but we always felt welcomed and well accommodated. Our late check in and early check out times were no problem and our hosts were kind enough to leave us fresh towels to shower with and a list of things to do in the city. The house itself is pretty old, with low water pressure, squeaky doors, and all the little quirks that go along with an older building. Nothing that was a deal breaker for the week we stayed though. If you are looking for a very reasonably priced private room and some great, personable hosts that are genuinely interested in helping you have a comfortable and fun time then this is the house for you!

We live upstairs. Behind the house is beautiful Schmitz Park and it faces towards the Puget Sound. The neighborhood is above Alki Beach where Seattle was founded. The daylight basement space is private with a separate entrance, laundry room, bathroom, bedroom and huge living area. There's no kitchen, but we've included a coffee maker, tea kettle, coffee, tea, microwave, fridge, and a set of dishes for your stay. We use the garage, adjacent to your space, and it's behind a locked door.
The space is unique because of the location in West Seattle, above Alki Beach where the Schooner Exact landed and founded our city in 1851. During your stay, we recommend you walk through Schmitz Park, a nature reserve, and enjoy the coastal living we do. There is a stairwell in the guest space leading up to the main floor. At the top is a door that we lock from the main floor to ensure your privacy.
West Seattle is on the quiet side of the bridge a stones through from downtown and the terraced hillsides of the Genesee Hill neighborhood provide stunning views in either direction of the Puget Sound. As you walk towards the entrance of the suite, watch for the ferries, cargo ships, and pleasure craft. The forest behinds the house is a nature reserve with old growth trees and a stream. Take the time to walk through and you might see an owl.
  • Very comfortable environment. Great morning views! Super comfy bed!

  • Great space! Totally worth the stay!

    Avery2018-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect stay! You get the whole basement to yourself and it’s basically an apartment. You do hear the occasional footsteps above the stairs but it‘s it not a big deal at all! The view is really pretty too! Seattle is gorgeous and you won’t regret staying here at all! Super cute and thoughtful touches throughout! Will definitely stay again when in the area! Thanks again!

  • Lars keeps a beautiful and cozy space in a quiet neighborhood. What made the stay exceptional was Lars’s incredible hospitality and friendliness.

  • Lars was very friendly and has 2 exceptionally well behaved dogs. There are a lot of interesting plantings on the property. I only wish the weather had been a little nicer so I could look around more. The space was quiet and I never had any issue with parking. It was a convenient location while visiting for my daughter's graduation from UW.

Add our listing to your wishlist by clicking the ❤ in the upper-right corner. • Enjoy peace and privacy in your very own tiny home. • Kitchenette with fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. • Radiant floor heat, and air conditioning. • Foldaway bed & work/dining table. • Private out-door space. • Easy parking next to cottage. ✰ “Such a perfect, cozy spot!” • Short drive to Pike Place Market, Waterfront, Downtown attractions & cruise ships. • Short single bus ride to Downtown or Fremont & UW.
✰ “We loved staying in this tiny home that was welcoming, clean, and everything we needed...” → The little guest cottage is super cozy and perfect for travelers who are comfortable with a very small space. → The furniture in the tiny house is as fold-away as possible to allow maximum flexibility with very limited room.
The Magnolia neighborhood is a quiet residential community, but there are a few places nearby. We have a coffee shop (HUB Coffee), a few casual restaurants, a nice pub (Mulleady's), and a dive-y, but friendly bar with ping pong tables and karaoke (The Box Car) all in walking distance. We are minutes away from Downtown Seattle, Historic Ballard, Lake Union, Fremont, UW, the Cruise Ship Terminal and so much more. We frequently see bike and car shares in the neighborhood (Lime, Car2Go, ReachNow). It is also easy to find an Uber or Lyft ride. Magnolia is also home to Discovery Park, a 500 acre reserve with hiking trails, incredible views of Puget Sound, and a natural beach.
  • Lovely place to stay! We highly recommend it!

    Laurel2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place was amazing!! It’s a very simple layout, really just one bigger room and the bathroom, which was perfectly fine since I stayed in it alone (if you’re staying with someone else, be sure you like them because there’s nowhere to escape to! lol). The bed was super easy to lift down and push back up (which was a relief for my tiny arms!) And the home has everything you could need from dishes and a little porch to eat outside on, to a shower that stays hot (unlike some tiny homes.) The location was awesome, in a quieter area of town but only 18minutes from the Space Needle and plenty of other awesome stuff. If you stay here, take a look at the different places the hosts recommend you eat and drink at; they were great. The hosts are lovely, the place was amazing, and the location was incredible.

    Laura2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for a quick work trip! Living transforms from an open space, to a dining area, to a bedroom. Great area and super clean. Would recommend to any lone traveler looking for a quiet retreat.

    Kaitlin2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little spot. Will keep Jon & Barb’s place in mind next time we visit Seattle!

    Simone2018-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • A really cute teeny home and Jon & Barb are great. Very communicative and attentive. We really enjoyed our stay!

    Lindsey & Kiko2017-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • A quiet and peaceful location and the perfect tiny spot for just you or two people. The hosts were super friendly with quick responses. We especially appreciated all the little touches, such as a nice selection of teas and coffees with real half and half in the fridge. And we loved the chickens! Tip: There are little windows along the ceiling that are great in helping the tiny space feel bigger, but they do not have curtains. You will want to bring along a sleep mask. I was glad I had mine!

    Vanessa2017-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Cute little house...thank you for your hospitality! We really enjoyed the neighborhood pub :)

    Kelly2019-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • Jon & Barb have a beautiful space that is just what we needed for a peaceful and relaxing getaway from the city. It’s in an awesome location, far enough away from the noise but close enough to get to any of the fun things to do! The white noise machine was an awesome added touch. They were so amazing, providing plenty of suggestions and they were so easy to communicate with. The heated floor was just what we needed in the chilly Seattle weather, it made the tiny home so much more cozy than it already was! We loved spending the last couple of nights of our honeymoon in the tiny home, we would love to come back in the future!

Barn 11 is a small 300sf rustic wood structure located on a tree-lined side-street in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, near dozens of shops and restaurants and just one mile from Downtown Seattle. Rate includes free parking in our parking lot, and WiFi. Breakfast service is not included or available.
Barn 11 has wood floors, kitchenette, bathroom, upstairs bedroom, parking, and WiFi. Downstairs ceiling is 7'4" high, however headroom on the stairs, and in the upstairs bedroom, is lower. The unit is not recommended for guests over 6' tall, or for guests who are not comfortable going up and down the steep and narrow open staircase.
We are 1.0 mile from Downtown Seattle - a 20 minute walk, and 1.5 miles from the Pike Place Market and from Seattle Center where the Space Needle is - a 30 minute walk. Most of our guests walk to Downtown. We're near dozens of Capitol Hill restaurants, shops, and a popular park.
  • Barn 11 was perfect for our Seattle getaway. Conveniently located two blocks from the Link in the wonderful Capital Hill neighborhood but felt charming and rustic. The place was clean, comfortable, cozy, private, rustic but with all the modern conveniences. Thank you David!

  • This place was exactly what the two of us needed. Being really close to rail and bus lines made it easy for us to get around the city and the hosts were lovely every time we spoke to them. Highly recommended

  • Best Seattle airbnb ever! In the thick of Capitol Hill and dedicated parking are just the start of the amenities. Great space, ultra clean and pristine. I highly recommend this listing! I will stay again.

  • Good location near the link light rail.Cute end comfortable place, very recommend!

  • This little barn was a perfect place to stay — close to the light rail, and a quiet oasis in the heart of lively Capitol Hill. The place was clean, beautiful, and really comfortable. Staying here was a great choice, and I hope to stay here again in the future.

    Ava2017-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • The barn was wonderful and we really enjoyed our stay. Only a block and a half from the Link and multiple bus lines, the location was one of the best features for first time Seattle visitors. There are also tons of coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. Melanie helped us out during our stay and stopped by each day to straighten up (it really feels more like a part of the BnB in the main property. I'd highly recommend this listing to others.

    Jane2016-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Barn 11 could almost be described as a micro house detached from the 11th Avenue Inn. For two people, it's great option and well-situated to get around Seattle by public transit or by car. We were surprised on arrival to also learn that breakfast was included at the Inn, which made for a relaxing start to each day and gave us the opportunity to meet the B&Bers traveling through. It was great to have A/C in Seattle for the occasional warm afternoon, but the unit was quite loud. A small quibble with an otherwise great spot. All in all we had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back to the Inn again!

    Jeff2017-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our time in this cute and clean accommodation. It was our first time in Seattle and it was a great home base to explore all parts of the city from. We arrived to a warm welcome from the inn keeper and check out was very easy and accommodating. Everything was great. Thanks David!

100% self-contained studio loft attached to main house overlooking small city park. Nothing is shared. 160 sq. foot 1st floor with kitchen (gas stove/full fridge) plus 140 sq ft loft bedroom climbed via ladder, plus full bath with washer/dryer. Fully furnished (linens/pans, etc). "Flexible" check-in means unit is ready by 1pm, or earlier if prior guests left early (you can drop off bags early). Late arrivals are fine. Check-out time is 12pm, or later if the next guests are arriving later.
While our house is 110 years old, this cottage is only 25, and was built by a contractor given the task of "creating the feel of a Vermont cabin." It is your own space, with private entry, and is separate from our other unit on Airbnb ("Private entrance and central"). Queen bed in loft. Through your windows you will see lots of trees, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, and endless squirrels. Inside you will find art from our many travels, including India, Brazil, Mexico, Morocco, etc. We supply pots/pans/towels. Just bring your clothes. Two caveats: First, if you don't feel comfortable climbing a ladder to your bed, or climbing down a ladder in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, this is not the spot for you. Second, while the first floor ceiling height is 7 feet, the upstairs loft ceiling is shaped like an "A-frame" roof, with the center being around 6 feet, sloping lower as you crawl into bed. Our first tenant of 7 years was a 6-foot female, who was quite content. Both her and our later tenant had regular-visiting boyfriends who seemed just fine without banging their heads. But, if you don't want to duck as you get into bed, this is not the spot for you. Two guests only - sorry, no extra guests.
"Madrona" is one of the most central/desired neighborhoods in Seattle. You can walk 45 minutes to downtown, or in the other direction to Lake Washington or in another direction to the vibrant Capitol Hill. Or take a 20-30 minute bus ride to each, or drive there in 10 minutes. Within a 10 minute walk you have access to a supermarket, roughly 15 restaurants, 2 coffee shops, and a bakery around the corner from our house.
  • Our experience at Phils was the best we could have ever hoped for! From his awesome suggestions about where to eat and what to do, to the occasional pastry from his wife's cafe left at our door, Phil was a superstar host. The loft space was perfect for what we needed, a very large sleeping loft and an ample living space and kitchen. The full bath and the bonus of having a laundry set up was so great! The location is perfect for sight seeing, especially if you're going to view the college (it looks like Hogwarts so you should). We had a wonderful time and would absolutely use Phil's listing again!

    Samantha2016-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I stayed here for four night during our first visit to Seattle and it was great!!! Phil and Andrea had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Andrea even welcomed us with homemade croissants! We loved the location because we could go out during the day, then come back to a quiet neighborhood. I highly recommend staying here.

    Sonora2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this Studio! Perfect for couple traveling. SUPER COMFY BED, Awesome location, quiet neighborhood. Free Washer/dryer was a plus. Host were very responsive and respected our privacy. Wonderful stay, definitely recommend this location.

    Maricris2018-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying in Phil and Andrea's cute and cozy cottage. Everything was nice and clean and all of Phil's descriptions were accurate. Everything we needed to cook, except food of course, was provided in the cottage. Phil welcomed us upon our arrival and encouraged us to knock on the door if we needed anything. We didn't spend much time talking with Phil or Andrea but I couldn't have felt more welcomed. The neighborhood is nice with plenty of street parking and easy bus access and it's close to most of the cool spots in Seattle. Overall, this is an excellent place to stay, as long as you are alright with the lofted sleeping area. This is the first time I have used airbnb and it was by far the best experience I have ever had with travel lodging. I would gladly stay here again and I highly recommend it to everyone else!

    Christopher2015-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot say enough positive things about Phil and Andrea's loft, and Phil and Andrea as hosts. This was my 3rd time to Seattle and probably my favorite, partially because of our airbnb. It was incredibly cozy, the amenities and hospitality of the hosts were outstanding (we even came home to homemade orange almond cake, ricotta chocolate cake, and lemon blueberry scones!), and the neighborhood was beautiful--super close to restaurants/bakery/coffee shops and Lake Washington, and a doable walk straight into downtown. And, the bed was SO comfortable, which is a necessity after long days of exploring. Phil also provided us with great recommendations which we used every day of our trip!

    Brittany2017-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Phil and Andreas place is located in a beautiful area of Seattle. It is definitely walking distance to most hot spots in Central Seattle. If you visit I recommend a stay here.

    Athena2017-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute and private space! Friendly hosts. Nice neighborhood. Has a small kitchen.

    Kristina2017-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing hosts and stay! We loved this cottage and the hosts made us feel so welcome. There were clear directions for check in and use of their cottage everywhere. There was great art and the kitchen had everything you need. It was really easy to get in touch if I needed anything! Will be recommending and we hope to stay again.

Nestled in a charming 1920 craftsman in central Seattle, this one bedroom, one bathroom apartment with private entrance is the perfect place to enjoy the best that Seattle has to offer. Conveniently located on the bus lines with nearby restaurants, coffee shops, and parks. The apartment is equipped with a full private bathroom and kitchenette with fridge, microwave, dishes, and dining area. Rest peacefully on a luxurious queen bed or even a bubble bath after your Seattle wanderings.
More about the space This newly remodeled apartment in a quiet neighborhood is private (nothing in the home is shared). All furnishings, including the queen bed, are new – so no lumpy mattress or uncomfortable night’s sleep here! My goal is to make you comfortable and give you privacy during your stay. This is a queer-friendly home and all ethnicities, genders, religions and sexualities are welcome. There is a young dog and cat on the premises (they are not permitted in your apartment) but we do share a yard, so you may be greeted with puppyish antics. Both are very friendly and will be seeking attention and love if they see you. "Flexible" check-in means your room will be ready by 3 pm, or earlier if the prior guests left early (you can drop off bags early). Late arrivals are fine. Check-out by 12pm/noon. I am quiet and considerate and look for the same in my guests. So, please no smoking (there will be a $100 fee for cleaning and fumigation), drug use or partying. Please also remove your shoes upon entering since the carpet is brand new. While the space is overall very quiet, the house is 100 years old, so some of the wood floors above the apartment are inevitably a little creaky.
This home is centrally-located. Seattle’s historic International District with a diverse array of eateries, shops and attractions is 2 miles away. The popular Capitol Hill neighborhood, with a vibrant night-life, restaurants, and micro-distilleries is 3 miles from this location. Seattle University is a 25-minute walk (one mile away). You can also explore Lake Washington – go for a swim, rent paddleboards, or simply take a stroll lake-side. There are roughly 15 restaurants nearby. A supermarket is three-blocks from the home and there is a bakery/coffee shop right around the corner.
  • This was my first airbnb experience & it was well beyond any expectations. Croix welcomed us to his place & reassured that he was just a message or call away in case we needed anything. I can’t wait to be back in Seattle and hopefully be able to stay here again!

    Alba2019-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay! The kitchen area saved us a lot of hassle and $$ since we weren’t eating out as much. The bed was very comfortable, and my husband and I enjoyed having 2 sinks in the bathroom. It was the perfect place to rest comfortably prior to my dance competition. Plus, wasn’t too far from where we needed to be. We didn’t have a chance to meet Croix in person, but we would definitely stay here again next time we come visit Seattle.

    Loryn2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Croix’s place exceeded expectations with its cleanliness, comfort, and amenities. At only a 10-15 minute drive from downtown, it was a great location. I would highly recommend staying here all things considered!

    Jonah2019-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • As others have said, this rental is exceptional. The pictures do not do full justice to the quality furnishings and decor, but do show fully the accommodations. For a comfortable night's sleep with your own private entrance, this is it! We took shared rides on Lyft, for the same cost as the trolley bus, which stopped nearby. The location is convenient, safe, and has many inexpensive places to eat. (Lotus Thai around the corner was yummy and a large portion!) Thank you Croix!

    Susan2018-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Wow what a place! A home away from home. We loved our two night stay here. Everything seemed new and the little details were thought about! We didn’t actually manage to catch up with Croix during our stay as it was self contained and had your own entrance. It is a little way from downtown but we walked the 50-60 minute into town and walked through some cool neighbourhoods on the way. Definitely recommend to anyone and would stay here again.

    Gareth2018-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Pretty neighborhood, rooms are private/separate from the rest of the house, only a block away from public transit. Great snacks, shampoo/conditioner/soap provided, comfortable bed, great place to stay!

This lovely, modern room and ensuite bath is detached from the main house, so you can enjoy privacy and quiet. We are a 5 min drive from Ballard and a 15 min drive from downtown. Welcome to our quiet, safe neighborhood!
For those who would like more privacy than that offered by a room in someone's home, this detached bedroom is a perfect choice! The bedroom has a queen bed with a memory foam topper. Power strips on both sides of the bed allow for cell phone charging. Wireless internet and cable tv are provided. There is a small, walk-in closet so that you can unpack and feel at home. The full bath has shampoo, conditioner, and liquid soap, as well as plush towels. The windows bring in plenty of light and fresh air in the summer and there is also an air conditioner, and the floors have radiant-floor heating for the winter months. I have created a small area to enjoy hot beverages and quick meals. There is a mini-fridge, a hot water kettle, and a French press for your convenience. I provide orange juice, a variety of teas, freshly ground coffee, hot chocolate, instant oat packets, granola bars and fruit. I'll also bake scones or muffins on one morning of your stay. With dishes and two chairs, you'll be able to have a quick breakfast before you head out for the day. There is a hair dryer and umbrella to use as well as beach towels. If you need or forgot something, let me know, and I’ll do my best to accomodate you. The guest suite is attached to our garage. The garage will not be in use between the hours of 9pm and 9am. However, during the day, family members will occasionally open the garage door, which can be heard from the guest room. Please note that there is not a full kitchen or laundry facilities in your guest suite. Our guest suite is not kid-friendly. Babies and young children are not a good fit for this listing. Ages 12 and older are welcome, as long as your child is part of the 2 person max. Thanks!
Ballard is known as one of the hippest neighborhoods in Seattle. Come to Ballard for amazing restaurants, micro-breweries, and coffee shops; come to shop at the boutiques on Ballard Ave; come to check out the salmon run and the boats coming and going at the Locks; come for the year-round Sunday Farmers’ Market; come for the Golden Gardens beach with views of the Olympics; or come just to walk one of the most walkable neighborhoods in Seattle. Let me proudly advertise an area just two blocks away from our home. Seattle Met named it “one of the city’s best food micro-hoods.” You won’t have to go far to enjoy these amazing restaurants: Honore Bakery, with French macarons that rival those in Paris; the Fat Hen, a light and cheery cafe that serves great breakfasts and coffee; Delancey’s, where locals line up for amazing wood-fire pizza; Essex, serving mixed drinks and bar food especially for foodies; and Brunswick & Hunt, providing farm-to-table fare. I have a notebook full of suggestions of where to eat as well as where to play while you are here. If you'd like, I can email you my info so you can plan ahead.
  • We stayed with Debbie for a couple of days and it was wonderful! Scones were amazing, the place is centrally located to great restaurants, bars, short bus ride away from downtown, and all the attractions! The house itself was beautiful and our host Debbie was very friendly and gave us great local recommendations. We are definitely coming back to Seattle again.

    Anastasiia2018-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie is a wonderful hostess who goes out of her way to make your stay simply wonderful. I must say we (wife and I) were caught off guard at the size of the room - it’s a bit small. But it packs a punch in comfort, coziness and downright delightful experience. Between the comfort of the bed, the pitter patter of rain and the coziness of the radiating heated floor, I had some of my best night sleep here. Debbie even personalize our stay with home made scones and a note for us to enjoy our anniversary stay in rainy but lovely Seattle. Thank you! Would definitely recommend :)

  • Debbie was great let us check in early, place was very clean and well accommodated. Sheets were clean and soft, bed was very comfy and we had nice snacks for the way out.

Comfy queen sized bed, nightstand and dresser. Western view from guest bedroom with peek-a-boo view of the Olympic Mountains. Basic bathroom amenities included as well as a light Continental breakfast with coffee and tea. Fifteen minutes from Sea-Tac airport. Downtown bus line stop within 2 blocks from home, arrive downtown within 20 minutes; connection to light rail at Westlake stop. Two public libraries, coffee house and restaurants within short walking distance.
  • We enjoyed our short stay. Location is great and just minutes from Seatac airport. Comfortable and clean bedroom and bathroom. We didn’t get a chance to meet out host, Michael but he was very accessible and communicated well. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone.

Nestled atop Beacon Hill, my condo offers amazing views of the Seattle city skyline, the Olympic Mountain Range, and the Puget Sound. Downtown Seattle is an easy bus ride or a quick 20-minute walk away. We're on two bus lines, within a mile of two light rail stops, and have free parking right outside. Ideally suited for couples or solo travelers, my suite also features a comfy futon-style bed for a third traveler or those who don't wish to share the queen bed (see below for more info).
My condo has amazing, panoramic views of what makes Seattle so great: the mountains, the sound, the city skyline, and much more. I promise a clean, inviting, comfortable, and private room. The room is professionally cleaned between guests. For our mutual convenience, you pay a portion of the cleaning fee and I subsidize a portion. Please note that we have an adorable one-year-old golden retriever. She is seldom left alone. She's sweet, fluffy, doesn't bark, and loves to meet people. We think she's the best thing on four legs and think you'll agree. Please ask if you have questions or concerns. I am on two bus lines (36, 60) and less than a mile from the Beacon Hill Transit Station, which connects to the airport. Downtown, the Bolt Bus stop, Amtrak, First Hill hospitals, the International District, Capitol Hill, Jose Rizal Park, the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trail, and much more are accessible on foot or by car/bus/light rail. It's an easy walk to the two major Seattle stadiums: Century Link Field, home of the Seattle Sounders and Seahawks, and T-Mobile Field, where the Mariners play. In fact, you can see inside the stadiums, hear the crowds cheer, and appreciate the touchdown/homerun fireworks when they go off. Your bedroom has a comfortable queen-size bed with lots of pillows and extra linens provided. The room has plenty of shelving, closet space, and natural light. If you don't wish to share the bed with your traveling companion, or in the case of a third guest, the small couch folds down into a futon-style bed (let me know if you'd like to take advantage of this option!). PLEASE NOTE and in the interest of full disclosure: the three-guest option isn't ideal for three grownups staying for more than a night or two. People do it, but it gets cramped and I personally wouldn't enjoy the experience. Any questions? Let's talk before you book! Your private bathroom is adjacent to the bedroom. Two steps door-to-door. It features a marble countertop, full bath/shower combo, and I provide shampoo, conditioner, soap, and a hair dryer in the hopes that these little conveniences will allow you to travel a bit lighter. There is abundant, free street parking, and while zoning restrictions do apply during the work week, unzoned portions are less than a block away.
The condo is within a mile of some great Pioneer Square/Beacon Hill/International District shops, restaurants, cafes, parks and trails, downtown, SODO, and much more. The Bolt Bus and King Street Station (Amtrak) are also within walking distance. The closest grocery store is about .8 miles away.
  • This was a fantastic stay. The view alone was worth it! Chris and Haley were extremely friendly hosts. The communication was great and they made me feel at ease. Would definitely stay here again.

    Rob2017-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Chris's place was very clean and had everything we needed. The view from the balcony was incredible! The hosts were helpful and created a very private environment for us which was nice.

    Bolora2017-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Large place with ample space and a lovely view. The apartment was very clean, including the room, bathroom, kitchen, and living room. I loved the location and how quiet it was in the neighborhood yet close enough to get to downtown in 5-10 minutes. It was the perfect place to stay at for three girls; we never ran out of amenities due to the hosts' preparation. It was easy to communicate with our hosts too, even though they were out of town as well. I would definitely come back to stay here the next time I'm in Seattle.

    Ashley2017-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I stayed two nights while attending a conference at the Seattle Convention center. We were quite busy during our stay and didn't see the hosts much, but we were able to easily communicate regardless via messages on airbnb and notes left in the common areas. I was worried that parking might be an issue, but the on-street nightly parking worked out great. I was also worried that traffic might be an issue (as its seattle), this was not the case and I had no trouble getting to and from the location to wherever I needed to go (airport, kirkland, bellevue, downtown seattle). I'd highly recommend staying at this location as it had everything I was looking for to keep my stay simple and easy.

    Kirk2016-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • The night view is really beautiful! The room is clean and nice. There are enough amenities. Also Chris answered all questions I had before trip. He supported me very much. It was fantastic night.

  • To start, communication with hailey was superb. She has the quickest response over all other Airbnb’s I’ve stayed at. Condo was as expect and the views from their condo was jaw dropping especially at night. First night at their place, i spoke to hailey and Derrick and felt right at home. My space was respected and felt safe. I even spent some time with them when I came back at night and i felt right at home. I promise you, if you don’t choose them when you stay in Seattle then you are making a big mistake. Important note: Their location is close to everything! I left and already want to come back. My vacation was that good and their hospitality was that amazing! If I could give 20 stars, I would. Also, they have the cutest dog Juno.

This is a room located on the main floor of the house. It has a bathroom with shower. We use the bath room as well when you are not in the room. Food and beverages are not included. There is no use of the kitchen or fridge. If you need to keep items cold I can provide a cooler and ice packs. There is no laundry service on site. You do need to be able to walk up about six stairs to enter the house. I would not classify the entry as ADA friendly.
This room sleeps two comfortably. The main bathroom for the house is accessed through this room so we ask our guest to allow access into the room between 10 am and 9pm. There is no lock on the bedroom door. We trust our entire home and belonging to strangers from all over the world and we look for people that extend that same level of trust. No guest, parties, or inviting others into our home without asking permission.
Great neighborhood. Quite and safe. Plenty of parking.
  • Bob was a very nice host. He communicates really well with us too. His place was nice, clean, and it was indeed a really comfortable stay. Would definitely come back to his place if I ever visit Seattle again.

  • This was by far the best price you'll find in Seattle! The room itself was cozy and had a really comfortable bed. The shower had amazing pressure! Bob and his family also were extremely happy nice down to earth people. Could have spent days just talking to them about their adventures and stories. The surrounding area has great food opportunities as well! Great stay and a great experience. Wifi was fast!

** NOTE: LOW CEILINGS (6’2” with 5’10” cross beams in the hallway). For anyone over 6' tall the low ceilings will likely be uncomfortable. Your ideal height would be 5' 10" or shorter. ** This unique private guest suite is close to cafes, a park, and restaurants. It features a hot tub & large patio surrounded by bamboo. It is great for quiet and respectful singles, couples, and business travelers for short or medium-duration stays. Please read all descriptions & house rules before booking.
Quiet and cozy, this private modern guest suite has colorful lighting, a large walk-in shower and a large TV with Roku - access any of your own subscription services such as Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, HBO and more. Please be prepared with your own login information to access your channels and services. There is no cable TV or local channel antenna, but you can use your own cable subscription credentials for many ROKU apps. Please keep the volume at a reasonable level, or use the provided FM headphones if you prefer a loud volume, as the Homeowners' bedroom is directly above. The large patio features a covered hot tub, suitable for use year-round. Note that there is no kitchen, however there is a mini fridge, a microwave, some silverware and compostable plates and bowls - good enough for restaurant leftovers or simple preparations. There is a desk and office chair in the room perfect for getting work done on your laptop. The desk has a coffee maker with one side just for dispensing hot water for tea, instant oatmeal, etc. As mentioned in the summary, this space has low ceilings. The bedroom ceiling is 6'1" and the hallways have crossbeams at 5'10". While some guests over 6' have had a great experience regardless of this, please know your own comfort level before booking.
Maple Leaf is a very walkable neighborhood north of Downtown Seattle. The house is between Roosevelt and 5th Avenue - both are great transit corridors to get downtown or elsewhere around the city. A large park is a few blocks south with views spanning Bellevue and the Cascades to the East, and Mount Rainier and Downtown Seattle to the South. A few different bars, coffee shops and restaurants are adjacent to the park, and supermarkets are nearby as well.
  • The place is really really pretty, looks even better than in the pictures, though it’s not the best idea for people over 5’7. Location is another plus, bus stop is right around the corner with bus route 67, 10 minutes to U District or Northgate mall. Micheal is such an amazing host, very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

    Quyen2018-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a nice space! Very clean. It’s very modern. It’s also really close to the Northgate mall and not far at all from downtown Seattle.

    Camille2018-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place exceeded our expectations. We could tell that thought was put into the design and the space was clean and organized. The attention for detail in this space was excellent. Great communication from the host. This was a nice, private spot in a neighborhood right outside of downtown Seattle.

    Lexa2018-08-21T00:00:00Z

    Kevin2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Michael’s place exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend staying there. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was beautiful and relaxing, and everything was very clean. Five stars for sure!

  • This was such a great place to stay, we only stayed one night but wish it was longer! The location was easy to find and check in was seamless. The pictures don’t do it justice!! It is amazing inside, so modern with awesome led light strips through out. The shower was also one of the best showers I’ve ever used! Comfy bed and plenty of space for two people. The coffee pot was also a life saver since I assumed we would have to go search for coffee that morning. Great overall experience and we had complete privacy!

    Ashley2018-09-11T00:00:00Z

  • Great stay! Rob was very responsive and kind. From what I understand, we were one of first guests... so some minor improvements to be made but easy fixes. The space is very large. The walls are thin and we could hear other tenants.. so brings ear plugs or white noise. Bathroom outdated but clean. Bed very comfy! Location great. Would recommend.

    Alison2017-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • He was a great host, beautiful space. The shower and tub could have been cleaner. I was looking forward to taking a jacuzzi, but it was kind of grimy etc.

  • Clean, comfortable and organized. I could enjoy my trip !

  • This place was the sweetest, Stacia is such a fantastic host who made our experience in Seattle one to remember. The little personal touches all throughout the space made it feel super cozy, and the beds were very comfy. Her place is so close to public transportation which made it super simple to travel downtown. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay outside the city. Loved it!

    Alexandra2019-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • The RV was very cute and cozy! We had 3 people staying in it and there was enough room for all of us. Stacia was a great host and provided detailed guides of the city. Highly recommend!

    Allie2018-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Okay, not only is this place beyond cute but they even had fresh cookies and had ground their own coffee beans (so bummed we didn't have time to try the coffee out). Dan and Stacia certainly went above and beyond! This cute airbnb is in such a perfect location, it's an adorable place to stay and the hosts are amazing. I will certainly be coming back again soon! And I highly recommend you do too!

  • Such a cute glamper! We loved it! Our only regret is we didn't find it sooner!

    Carly2018-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Stacia’s place was very nice. It was modern, clean, and one of the best experiences I’ve had. The place is a little smaller than anticipated but not bad enough to hinder the quality of our stay. She left cookies for us when we came and was gracious enough to let us leave our bags with her when our room wasn’t quite ready and we wanted to sight see. I loved staying in Stacia’s BnB!

    Victoria2019-09-20T00:00:00Z

This cozy little bungalow was fully updated in the Summer of 2016. It is a block and a half from beautiful Green Lake, and walking distance to many great local restaurants, bars, shops, and outdoor activities, as well as a short drive (or long walk) to the University of Washington and Woodland Park Zoo. Parking is easy to find and the neighborhood is quiet and safe.
This detached bungalow is in the backyard gardens of the owners' restored craftsman home. It is perfect for 2 people that want a residential retreat in a vital Seattle neighborhood with the option to prepare all your meals in-house. Amenities include Wifi, TV, Netflix streaming, heating, air conditioning, linens, stove, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, coffee and tea. Other Things to Note This bright, charming tiny bungalow is entirely yours, with a landscaped backyard that is shared with the owners. Enjoy the comfy queen-sized bed, sectional couch, TV (with local channels and Netflix), tiny kitchen, and a small bathroom with a shower. Heating and air conditioning are controlled entirely by you. If the weather allows, relax outdoors around the firepit or the covered pergola seating area, surrounded by lilac trees, flowers and plants.
Seattle is among the most active cities in the U.S. and Green Lake is Seattle’s hub for recreation. Circling the lake is a 2.8 mile walking/running/wheels trail. The park offers tennis and basketball courts, baseball and soccer fields, 9-iron golf course, public swimming pool and beaches, boat/kayak/paddle board rentals, and a theatre. The trail is also a great place for people watching and the best way to access many restaurants and shops lining the lake.
  • Great location cation and cute place!

  • Wow, what a gem! We chose this bungalow as our first airbnb experience without knowing really what to expect. First, Rob was a great communicator. We were able to easily find the location with his direction, and he met us shortly after we arrived. Secondly, if you are looking for a place to experience Seattle, choose this bungalow! We had everything from gluten-free pizza down the street to a fancy seafood sunset dinner at Ray's. The park/lake is walkable & we had the chance to soak up some sunshine as well. Lastly, we have to mention the family dog who has to be the sweetest golden retreiver we've ever met. Thank you, thank you! Only wish we could have stayed longer. - Kelsey & Stephen

  • What a perfect little place to stay in when visiting Seattle! Wonderful location too - just walking distance to Green Lake.

  • Delightful little studio house, nicely appointed and really comfortable. Everything is new and nice and works perfectly. The location can't be beat for walkability. We were able to walk to Greenlake, Woodland Park Zoo and several great restaurants. Express transit service to downtown is a five minute walk away. Rob and Nadia gave us great directions and check-in instructions, and then left us alone - perfect hosts!

  • Cute neatly kept tiny house. Very snazzy and well-thought out.

    Lisa2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • My two sons, their wives and one granddaughter came to visit me here in Seattle. The couple with no child stayed at Rob's bungalow and loved it! When they posted photos of the bungalow on their social media sites, the responses were, 'When I think of an Airbnb, this is what I want to find!' It was everything I had hoped it would be so they could enjoy their stay. You will not want to miss staying here when you visit Seattle.

    David2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and quiet space, in good location [very close to Green Lake], as described on website.

This is studio #17 - a private guest room designed as a simple & affordable space for arts-related guests near the heart of Seattle's downtown gallery district. But you don't have to be an artist to stay here - all are welcome!
**Please click on "read more" and read everything below before booking** Our place is a bit unusual and we want to be sure it's a great match for your style of traveling. Please read all details below, plus the house rules so you don't miss anything that might really matter to you once you get here. You'll have this private room all to yourself. It's located among a group of art studios on the second floor of a commercial building. We're in the Japantown area of Seattle's historic International District, a few blocks east of Pioneer Square and the sports stadiums. The bed has a luxurious Novaform queen mattress & very comfortable fresh bedding. We also provide towels, extra pillows & blankets, bath robes, and other amenities. Free wifi and satellite tv w/HBO are included. We recently finished a major remodel of the room, which is why there’s a gap in our reviews. So yes if you've stayed here before this is the same place, but even better! There's only one guest room now, and the guest bathroom is now private, just for you. ~~~~~~~~~ important notes: • There's a private bathroom with keypad entry just outside the room dedicated only for our guests. You'll need to step out into the hallway to reach the bathroom, but it's just a few feet away. • This is not a room in an apartment building - the other rooms on the floor are artist work spaces. The room is quiet and the artists don't live here. • The room has a skylight, and no other windows. It has a mini-split hvac unit for air conditioning & heat. There's also a ventilation exhaust fan on the ceiling which will clear out stale air and draw in fresh air from the hallway as needed. • There is a long flight of stairs to get up to our floor (no elevator). • Our listing is a little unusual and we want to be sure it's going to meet your needs before you choose to book it. Please send us a note with the secret code word TEDDY (that's our dog) - this will let us know you hung in there and read the whole thing. • Also before booking make sure your user i.d. profile is complete, including a good clear photo of you. It helps with security in our building to be able to identify guests. Thank you!
This is a fun & interesting international neighborhood with lots of quirky shops and tons of food choices - including a great sushi restaurant right in our building. There's quick take-out to high end, and everything in between. Uwajimaya Asian specialty supermarket is close by, plus coffee shops & bakeries - you won't go hungry in this neighborhood! • Check our online Guidebook to see all the great restaurants & attractions we've bookmarked in our neighborhood. We also have a guidebook in the room when you arrive with some of our favorite spots nearby for food, plus maps and other details. • We're just a few blocks from the baseball & soccer/football stadiums. There are many bars and clubs within walking distance, and even more just a quick bus ride away. Since the building is right downtown you can also easily visit the Seattle Art Museum, Sculpture Park, Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, Experience Music Project, and many other great Seattle attractions. • Please note that we're right next to the Pioneer Square neighborhood, which tends to have some homeless people on the streets. Along with the conveniences of being right downtown - great public transportation & cool places to visit - this is city life and we don't recommend walking around by yourself late at night.
  • Dirk and Jackie's place was great! Close to Centurylink stadium and a host of restaurants/coffee shops/bars. The room was spotless and close to the shared bathrooms. Nice and quiet during the night as well. Never heard a peep from the people around us. I would definitely stay at their place again!

    Jordan2016-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Very recommended! Description is very accurate and our stay was absolutely flawless. Jaq & Dirk are great hosts. Very helpful with Insider Tipps about Seattle any California. Always super responsive and clear as well as accurate in communication. The location of the loft is quite central so we could walkte SAM, Pike Market etc. Also well connected for public transportation.

    Alan2017-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Dirk & Jackie made my stay in Seattle a very enjoyable one. They were very accommodating and organized. They made it very easy for me to enter the building on arrival and did everything in their power to make sure I had everything I needed. I would highly recommend their space to anyone. Thank you both so much.

    Nick2016-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Good place, located near a bus station which is very convenient and close to some good restaurants in International District. Clean, with two bathroom, Responsive hosts, and helpful post-it's everywhere.

    Ross2014-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Visited Seattle for the very first time and Dirk and Jak's loft is in the best area. Metro and link we're walking distance away. We were in the middle of all the hot spots in Seattle. We didn't get to meet Dirk and Jak but they communicate so well and effectively you never had to meet. Loft was a great size for 2 people and the bed was amazing! I want to buy a bed just like it. Highly recommend this place. Would stay there again in a heart beat.

    Heather2014-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Dirk & Jaq checked-in frequently prior to our visit, and during our visit, to ensure we had everything we needed. The description and photo's of the space were quite accurate. (As they note - the description is long but is accurate so make sure you read the entire thing.) The space is simple, cozy and clean. (Which is exactly my style.) It is within 10 walking from the train station, so very accessible there, and if you're a city roamer - an easy 1/2 hour walk to the heart of Seattle. Lots to do (bars/restaurants/galleries/shops) nearby in the Pioneer Square area. The space was quiet and we had a good nights sleep.

    Heather2016-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was the most amazing room! My husband can't stop talking about it. Right downtown but a comfortable distance from all the hustle of the 'touristy' areas! Beautiful building and wanderfully appointed room. Dirk and Jaq really go the extra mile to make sure everyone is comfortable. They even had a bathrobe in the rooms! It was a really neat little loft with a skylight and a super comfortable bed. Such a neat experience. Totally recommend.

    Kim2012-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • My stay was very brief--about 10 hours total. I arrived late in the evening but getting settled in was easy as the place was just as described and everything accessible. And if I was uncertain, there were plenty of post-it notes which was helpful ("Were you just reading my mind?") and Dirk and Jaq were very clear they were available should I need anything. The place--including hallway and bathrooms--were absolutely clean. The only hiccup I experienced was trying to figure out the key lock in the dark. There was a handy book of recommendations on the desk. I ate at the sushi restaurant downstairs which was fantastic and went to the recommended Zeitgeist coffee place a few blocks away which was warm and nostalgic feeling. A nice, quiet place to decompress and rest.

Comfortable, garden-level 1- bedroom apartment in a conveniently located duplex house in Maple Leaf, (Seattle area) Washington.
Close to Maple Leaf Park - between Green Lake and Northgate Shopping Center. Friendly neighborhood for walking and enjoying beautiful views. Popular Hawaiian restaurant and Coffee Shops nearby.
  • Great space, comfortable and close to restaurants and not too far from the city. I’d definitely stay again.

  • Beautiful, Peaceful, cleanliness home. Charly and Linnea had everything down to a T what more could you ask for. Thank you for the great Host.

    Gabriella2019-01-27T00:00:00Z
Merci encore !!!

  • Great place to stay! Easy check in, clean, nice amount of space for 2. Great relaxing garden space, nice neighborhood, dedicated parking spot. Excellent hosts! Really enjoyable to talk to and play ukulele with!

    Cliff2019-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • Warm kind and comfortable place and hosts! Charley & Linnea were very hospitable, cute and fun to be around with. The location is convenient travel wise, close to Seattle, yet not too crowded or congested when travelling, a very nice little parking lot for one vehicle. A perfect vocation place for small family, friends, or couples! Nice stay with many items to use and to be creative! 5 Star!

    Jenny2019-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • I reserved Charly and Linnea's place for my parents to stay in while visiting town. They say: "Linnea and Charly were friendly and accommodating hosts and interesting conversationalists. The place was wonderful for the price. It was comfortable, a bit dark being below ground. Well supplied with everything you need in the kitchen and bathroom."

Admire sweeping views of Puget Sound from inside the cozy studio, or head to the rooftop to get a closer look at the famous Seattle Space Needle. This modern, monochrome apartment is full of art created by the host and rustic wooden accents.
Lower Queen Anne is a great neighborhood close to the action. Walk to Seattle Center and the Space Needle just a few blocks away. There are great cafes and restaurants all over the area.
  • Awesome location with a great view!

  • Marissa's apartment was a great place to stay while my sister and I explored Seattle. The location was awesome, and having parking included was helpful in such a busy area. There is a CVS located below the apartment which also came in handy for traveling needs, and our drive to pikes place/the waterfront was under 10 minutes. Marissa was friendly and welcoming during our stay, and I highly recommend this apartment to other travelers.

  • Awesome location! Cute place to stay while exploring Seattle

    Hannah2019-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great apartment, ideal for two, in absolutely the best location! The apartment is comfy with great views and ideally placed for the Seattle Center - you could spend days there alone, but within very easy reach of downtown Seattle with all that has to offer. Marissa is an attentive host with great, quick responses.

    Marilyn2018-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and cozy space! It was in a great location, and Marissa was so helpful and communicative throughout all of it. I would love to stay here again!

  • We had an absolutely fantastic time in Seattle. Marissa's apartment is a perfect place to stay for your trip. It has a great location, has an awesome roof deck, is clean and very modern. Public transport is very close as are many great places to eat. It was also a bonus to have parking included in the building. Marissa was very helpful in answering questions promptly and has great advice on places to eat and things to do in Seattle. Overall I highly recommended staying here and we will look to stay here again when we return

    Steven2017-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Hello! My stay at Marissa’s was overall great, but I have only one concern. Being an Airbnb Plus and all, I was expecting at least a separated bedroom from the common area. The space seemed larger online, however, if space is not an issue for you, Marissa is amazing and extremely hospitable. Marissa was quick to respond and clean the place before our arrival. I had checked in much earlier than the time set but Marissa was extremely flexible and had the place ready asap. Happy with the stay and would recommend.

Your private bedroom and bathroom is located on the lower level of the house. The queen bed features a high-end firm mattress. On a sunny morning, the room can fill with sunlight. Alternatively, draw the blinds and curtains for a nice, quiet sleep in. Extra blankets and space heater are provided for those who run cold. Your private bathroom is located just steps outside the door to your room. It is stocked with amenities such as shampoo, toothpaste, and clean fluffy towels.
My cute craftsman features an open floor plan allowing for lovely flow from the kitchen through the dining room to the living room. The kitchen features granite counter tops, gas cooking, and restaurant grade appliances. Feel free to use the microwave and fridge at your convenience. Let me know if you’d like to cook; I’d be happy to assist you.
