The CMTR Cottage is a waterfront property. It sits on a bluff offering a commanding view of the sea especially from the covered porch. It was built in 1882 by Henry Ketchum as he labored to build the the Chignecto Marine Transport Railway (CMTR). The beach is perfect for exploring at low tide. It is accessed through the adjacent beach park. You can literally walk for miles on the ocean floor when the tide is out. In the summer the water is warm enough to swim at high tide. While the cottage is very rustic, it is up-to-date with most modern conveniences. These include WiFi, Satellite TV, a dishwasher and laundry facilities. Please note however, it is truly a seasonal cottage. There is no insulation or air conditioning,… just the ocean breezes.

This century old school house is a hidden gem. Nestled at the end of 'School Lane' this building has been converted and is now home to a loft apartment and the offices of a local environmental charity. This gorgeous sunlit loft has been updated with modern fixings but has retained all of it's historic charm. With a fully equipped open concept kitchen, beautiful bathroom with antique clawfoot tub, 14 foot ceilings, TV with Netflix + cozy sunlit bedroom - you'll be right at home.
This lovely space truly speaks for itself. Floor to ceiling windows spill natural light into every nook and cranny. With views of lush trees and rolling fields in the summer, and tranquil painted marsh-scapes in the winter you may never want to leave. Enjoy a soak in our clawfoot tub while sipping wine. Sit back on our cozy antique couch and put a movie on Netlix. Or listen to music while hosting friends in our open concept kitchen - dining room area with bar stools. The SchoolHouse is also directly beside a walking path called the 'Rails to Trails'. A 5 minute walk in one direction takes you to beautiful Silver Lake - while a 35 minute walk in the other direction takes you directly into downtown Sackville. Enjoy a stroll and dinner in town - and no worries if you don't want to walk back - Sackville Cab is just a call away. We look so forward to having you stay with us!
The School House is nestled at the end of 'School Lane' which is just off of Main St. This is a very quiet neighbourhood with old character homes. It is an 8 minute drive to downtown Sackville, or a 40 minute walk. The space is also just a 5 minute walk away from the beautiful Silver Lake with beach, playground and dock.

This charming little apartment is on the upper floor of a downtown historic home (separate side entrance). Quiet and cosy, yet just a 3-5 min walk to cafés, restaurants, trails, bars, shops, independent movie theatre(!), art galleries, and grocery (+farmers market, bakeries, and specialty). COVID-19 business updates below. 1-min walk to the iconic and serene waterfowl park, don’t miss walking the beautiful boardwalks through birches and birds! Close walking distance to Mount Allison University.
The self-contained 2nd-floor suite has a full kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and separate entrance. **Length of stay discounts: Discounts of 15% for one week, 25% for two weeks, and 45% for a month or more will automatically be applied to your price when selecting dates. I have temporarily set a 3-night minimum. **COVID-19 precautions: Cleanliness has always been a priority, but I have been especially careful to personally wipe down all counters, taps, knobs, switches, appliances etc with disinfectant. The couch and curtains are sprayed with a Lysol disinfectant spray between visits. As always, bedding, and towels are washed and extras are kept in a pantry along with extra cleaning supplies for the comfort of guests. Basic toiletries such as hand soap, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are provided. Floors are cleaned as usual with vacuuming and mopping but are of a vintage that they still may appear scuffed and worn.*** There isn't a living room, but a loveseat and small table with chairs are in the kitchen area for lounging, and Netflix in the bedroom. Furnished with books, art, cozy decor, wifi, and games, there is plenty to do inside. However, you couldn't be better situated to walk to everything to see and do in "bagtown" (and there is a lot!). A pantry holds extra towels and linens, an iron & ironing board, a hairdryer, and more. Also supplied are basic toiletries, a microwave, stove, full refrigerator, kettle, toaster, coffee press, coffee, tea, olive oil, balsamic, butter, often (but not always) fresh eggs from our chickens... if you're wondering what else, please just ask! Please note that this second-floor apartment is accessed by a fairly steep interior stairway. PETS: I'm open to the possibility of you bringing a pet, but please discuss this with me before booking. I have a pet cat Petri downstairs, in a separate part of the house from the apartment. Please let me know (preferably before your arrival) if you are not exactly a cat person or are allergic, as he typically has access by (lockable) pet door to your downstairs entry. Petri may vie hard for your attention and for most guests he is a bonus, but it is easy for me to deter him if especially I know ahead of your visit.
Tucked away in a quiet corner of a vibrant downtown with small university town charm. So many unique and independently owned businesses are just a three-minute walk down the street. Only one minute from your door, you are stepping into our beautiful waterfowl park in the middle of town. ***COVID-19 updated Neighbourhood Info: The adjacent waterfowl park is open for walking, but the boardwalk sections are one-way only to facilitate 2m distancing; signage is posted in the park (see a map in listing photos). Jogging should be kept off the boardwalks as passing is discouraged, but our streets and sidewalks along with some trails are suitable. Some of the local cafes and restaurants are noted as closed below, but many great ones are open for pickup/delivery only. The farmer's markets have some options also. The street, Weldon, parallels the NB Trail, and there are several nearby parks, including one at the foot of the street. Daytips are almost limitless from the heart of the heart of the Maritimes. I encourage you to explore and ask me questions. Sackville is a 30 min drive from the Dieppe (Moncton) airport, 40 mins from Parlee Beach, 40 mins from the bridge to PEI, just over an hour to Hopewell Rocks, and about a 2 hour drove from Halifax. I have created a digital guidebook of my recommendations, that you should have access to through your airbnb booking. I will also have a physical binder of information at the apartment. ____________________________________________________________ Some highlights: ++All are a 3-5min walk down Weldon, on Bridge, or near the Intersection of Bridge & Main, unless otherwise noted++ // EATS & DRINKS \\ NAPUL'E food & wine: [STILL OPEN, TAKEOUT/DELIVERY] Wood-fired pizza, caprese salad, tiramisu, espresso...! all made in true Neopolitan fashion. 4 min walk. Take a dip in the warm waters of the Northumberland or comb the beaches sandbars at low tide. A great place for kids to play or for adults to relax and rejuvenate.
Close to fresh lobster/seafood, specialty shops, golf courses and a number of beautiful provincial beaches. Located only 1.5 hrs away from the Halifax International Airport and 40 minutes from New Brunswick and PEI. 30-40 minutes away from shopping for more than basic needs. The Inn Cottage is a waterfront property. It sits on a small bank with a beautiful view of the sea. The beach is perfect for exploring at low tide. It is accessed by a set of stairs onsite. You can literally walk for miles on the ocean floor when the tide is out. In the summer the water is warm enough to swim at high tide. While the cottage maintains its rustic charm, it is up-to-date with most modern conveniences including WiFi, Satellite TV, a dishwasher and a whirlpool tub. Please note however, it is truly a seasonal cottage. There is no insulation or air conditioning,… just the ocean breezes. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a gas BBQ grill but if you would like to dine out fine dining and hot breakfasts are available onsite (by reservation) just a short walk away.

My place is close to the airport, parks, art and culture, the city centre, and great views. You’ll love it because of the outdoors space, the comfy beds, and the light. The place is good for couples and business travellers. The bedrooms in this unit are upstairs. A semi private deck connects the two units of 365 Rustic Charm on Main Street; which would be possible for a larger family/group to book both places. Book each place separately for the same time period.
There are two upstairs bedrooms, the larger has a queen size Nova bed, the smaller has a comfortable double day bed. The stairs are called a New Brunswick accordion stair case, which is a bit steep. If you have mobility issues going up these stairs may be an issue. The bathroom is also upstairs, with tub and shower. The main floor comfortably seats four, with a well appointed eat in kitchen, which boasts a spectacular view of the Marsh. Both units are entire apartments not just a room. Each have full kitchens, and access to laundry.
The neighbourhood is country, there are three very well run dairy farms near by, a great nursery near by. A lake to swim in, a wonderful trail with brooks to sit by and day dream. The road to the lake is a public highway, some people smoke as they walk by, and some of that smoke will trail into the house depending on the wind, I have had guest ask me about that, I don't allow smoking in the units, I can't do much for the people walking on the street. The Units are in and around working dairy farms, I have had guests asked about certain smells in the bathroom, if the wind come in the right directions there will be some dairy smell from the cows, again I cannot control this either!
