A fabulous getaway with the comforts of home. The cottage is unique with loft bedroom, huge deck and fire pit. Recently internet access has been added The field is perfect for ballgames, disc golf or star gazing. The creek will lure you in. A catfish pond waits over the hill. With miles of trails, the Bluff is a perfect place for botany or photography or plain old serenity. Note: there’s no TV, children must be supervised at all times and alcohol/tobacco/etc are not allowed on the property.

Guests staying with us in Lynchburg can visit our baby goats and petting zoo free of charge at our Peaks of Otter Farm stay. 25 baby goats as of 3-31-25! The apartment has a private entrance and parking just outside the door. We are a retired but active couple who live upstairs. The kitchen has a Keurig coffee maker and is stocked with coffee, tea, coffee fixings, snacks, and light breakfast items. We are 25 minutes to downtown Lynchburg and 20 minutes to Appomattox.
