Historic Georgian Flat with Community Garden
It's filled with light and spacious for a one bedroom apartment. It's filled with fun things that I have collected over the years, so it comes with bags of my personality! It's quiet - especially the bedroom which is located at the rear. I like cooking, so the kitchen is well-equipped. Bring your tunes - there is a nice Sony bluetooth speaker to connect with! Access all areas - I keep the cellar and a filing cabinet in the bedroom locked for my own bits and pieces though. On arrival, I prefer to meet my guests in person to get you settled and share my local recommendations that fit with your plans and timing. New Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and carefully protected from new development. It supports a lovely mix of residential property and boutique retailing, including tons of coffee shops, private galleries, restaurants, and interior design shops. Bus stop round the corner and tram stop 5 minutes away at St Andrews Square. 10 minutes walk to the main railway station, Edinburgh Castle and the very heart of Edinburgh. Taxi rank 5 minutes walk down Dundas Street and taxis usually available on the street too. Please note my TV works via the internet so you can view BBC iPlayer/Netflix/Amazon content only. The bed is a standard double i.e. 4 feet 6 inches wide and 6 feet 3 inches long (137 x 190 cm). The bed will be made up ready for your arrival including 4 feather pillows, a duvet and a warm throw. An allergy free pillow and a hot water bottle can be found in the chest of drawers. I supply two large towels, a hand towel, a dish towel and a bath mat for each booking.

Stockbridge truly is a village in the heart of the city, with everything Edinburgh has to offer right on the doorstep. Edinburgh is best explored on foot so bring comfy shoes and be prepared for some hills ! Taxis and buses are however plentiful with a bus stop right outside the flat taking you to Leith where you can visit the Royal Yacht Britannia. The heart of the city is a comfortable 20 minutes walk from the flat and to the North, Edinburgh’s stunning botanic gardens are only 15 minutes by foot. Parking outside the Flat is free on single yellow lines after 5.30pm and there are no parking restrictions at weekends from 5.30pm on Friday until 8.30am on Sunday morning. Metered parking is available in the neighbouring street. Meters operate from 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Stockbridge is right on your doorstep and on Raeburn Place you will find an abundance of cafes, restaurants, bars and food convenience stores. You can walk into the heart of Edinburgh ( Princes St and the castle ) in 20minutes from the Flat. Edinburgh’s botanical gardens are also just a 15 minute walk away.
