This 50’s era home has been expanded and updated to combine modern loft design elements with classic original features such as enameled steel kitchen cabinets, vintage tile and refinished concrete flooring that echos the home’s original layout.

The great room with chef’s kitchen adjoins three bedrooms that all open to the pool, spa, and cabana. This architect-owner designed home creates seamless indoor and outdoor living for your perfect Palm Springs retreat.

The house is located on a quiet, walkable and bikeable neighborhood street, close to all the amenities, making this house an ideal 21st century vacation getaway.

+ sleeper sofa and air mattress are also available if guests do not wish to share beds

Indoor Living:
The fully equipped kitchen is ready for cooking! We have cookware, cutlery, dishes, glassware and stocked with pantry basics. The large, granite topped island is perfect for gathering around the cook, and the large dining table seats six comfortably. The open floor plan flows into dining area and living room, with 10' ceiling, clerestory windows and three walls of floor to ceiling sliding glass that open to the saltwater pool, spa, cabana, and private yard.

The master bedroom has a queen bed with private bathroom featuring subway tiled walk-in shower with glass door. French doors lead out to the private courtyard where you can relax in the chaise and enjoy the peaceful serenity of the water fountain, which attracts hummingbirds and finches.

Bedroom 2 has a king bed and sliding glass doors that open to the pool and cabana area outside. Bedroom 3 has two twin beds, also with sliding glass doors that open to the pool area.

The shared bathroom features vintage 50’s era tilework, a step in shower and a separate bathtub. There is also a bathroom in the cabana, with tiled walk-in shower and glass door.

Outdoor Living:
Sun lovers and shade lovers will enjoy the private yard, which has a mountain view and desert landscaping. Outdoor highlights include al fresco dining for 6 with gas grill, sun soaked chaises, a citrus garden for making fresh lemon and limeade when in season, plus many nooks for personal moments. The cabana is a relaxing outdoor living space, with two sofas, coffee table and dining table for 4. Enjoy a cozy evening fire at the outdoor wood burning fireplace.

WIFI is complimentary. The living room has a wifi enabled HDTV with cable channels and complimentary Netflix. The master bedroom has a TV with Roku. There is a small office workspace in the passageway if vacation must be momentarily suspended for the job!

Off street parking is available in the carport and in two driveways, one on each side of the house. Please note: there is a limit of three total cars for all stays (City ordinance).

Additional Fees:
POOL HEAT is an additional $65/day (or $350/week). We recommend pool heat October-May. If you wish to add pool heat it is required for the entire duration of your stay (check in day to check out day). We are unable to heat the pool for less than the entire length of your visit.

CITY TAX is 12.5%, calculated on the total nightly rate and sent to you as an extra charge at booking.

Named after the Tahquitz Creek (known to locals as “the Wash”) that slices through the neighborhood, you’ll find an eclectic mix of Spanish Revival and Mid-Century Modern and Modern Contemporary homes with the San Jacinto Mountains as a backdrop. The creek channel is a popular spot for morning jogs, casual walks, biking and simply enjoying the flora and fauna. The neighborhood is an easy 15 minute walk to the shops, restaurants and nightlife downtown.

We're happy to partner with our friends Ben & Roger to share this relaxing home with you. We're dividing our time between snow and sun, between Minneapolis and Palm Springs. We ran a small restaurant for a decade, and are now taking a break to emphasize the importance of relaxation and living in the moment. We hope the house brings serenity to you too!

Guests access the house via key code. The City of Palm Springs requires the host communicate with you within 24 hours of your check in to review the house rules, the City of Palm Springs rules, and most importantly to answer any questions you have about the house - like how to fire up that hot tub! This means one of us will need to speak with you (the person making the reservation) at some point on your first day. We are not able to communicate with your traveling companions - so please be sure you are the point person for your group. We will also review the landscaper and pool cleaner schedules, as their visits may occur at some point during your stay.

After that- we respect your "you time" by giving you privacy. We and our co-host are always available by text, phone or email during your stay to answer any questions you may have. You'll only see us if you need us!
