Our home is situated on 3 1/2 acres with a natural landscape.
Two story, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. We are on a dirt road with very little traffic,very quiet.Visit us for a romantic getaway or a family reunion,with adventures close at hand. We are 10 miles from Boulder where culture, food & entertainment abounds. We are 45 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park. Gold Hill is a historic town because it is the 1st place gold was discovered in CO. We invite you to come visit and enjoy Colorado.

Welcome to our Custom Mountain Home Getaway.
As hosts of this Airbnb home we are following the Airbnb COVID-19 safety practices required by Airbnb for your safety as guests and our safety as hosts. Please follow the Airbnb guidelines and procedures.
Come relax in our hot tub overlooking forested mountains to the south and Denver's night lights to the East.
Curl up in the upstairs living room couch to watch a movie, while gazing out our large windows, at the night stars.
Our home is easy to spot from the road with it's Nepalese prayer flags, it's unique dark blue color, and a welcoming picnic table out front.

The driveway has space to park 3-4 vehicles in case you all come in separate cars. If we are on a flying vacation our 24foot RV will be parked on the North side of the house but will not impeded any of your parking spots in the driveway.

This is a tobacco free, pet free home! No exceptions!!!

If we are in town we will be there to greet you around 4pm check-in time.

Upon entering the front door you will enter our "mud room" with a coat hanger with a shelf on the left for coats, hats, etc.. Against the opposite wall is a bench for sitting to take off your shoes. We have a no shoes policy in our home.The door on your right is the laundry room with washer and dryer, cleaning supplies and a step stool if needed.

Down the hallway on your right is the a closet for hanging coats and putting shoes. Next on your right is the guest bathroom with a tub & shower, sink and toilet.
The furthest door on the right is the downstairs guest bedroom with a large west facing window with great natural views. There is a Queen size bed and plenty of drawer and closet storage.

The downstairs living area is spacious, with a sitting area, dining for 6 at the table and a futon couch. In the dining area you can see out 5 large windows onto the deck facing South.

There is a sunken hot tub, a gas grill, and a bistro table for 4. The deck has steps down into the natural landscaping with no fenced in area. Keep your eyes open for fox, wild turkeys and maybe a moose if you are lucky!

The dining area opens up into the wrap around kitchen, with an additional island table for 4 and a 32 inch flat screen TV. The kitchen has everything you could want to cook up a family style meal or make a bowl of cereal. It includes: a five burner gas stove and oven, a microwave, full size refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, blender, electric tea pot, and dish washer.

The west end of the hallway leads to the stairs which opens up into the living room, with 5 large windows to enjoy the scenic mountain views looking South. A large window to the east gives you view of Denver. On the opposite end of the room is a large window with western forest views.

This great room has 2 computer work stations, a TV sitting area with a 52" HD flat screen TV. Also in this room we have some workout equipment: an elliptical cross trainer, a Bosu, fitness ball and free weights. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! We can not be responsible for injuries or sickness during your stay!

There are two bedrooms upstairs. The one on the left is our grand kids room with twin beds for a couple or two singles or two kids with a dresser with drawers & closet storage. The loft is PRIVATE with a gate.

The Master Bedroom off the living room has a Queen size bed, a desk for writing a letter or computer work, a 46" Flat screen TV above the bed, 1 dresser with empty drawers for clothes and half a closet for hanging clothes. There is a chair next to the book case for relaxing with a good book or taking off your slippers for bedtime. The bathroom upstairs has a shower, toilet, sink and is carpeted.

This is a quiet mountain community.
We have great neighbors and would like to keep it that way. Please observe quite hours from 10pm - 7am.
Our home is a mile from the town of Gold Hill, population 150. All businesses are on Main Street.

The Gold Hill Inn is a 3/4 mile walk from the house. It is a five star dining establishment and has been opened for 56 years this season. It is historically zoned with an antique bar and sitting area for enjoying a cocktail, beer or wine. The beer garden is located on the west side of the building and is an added outdoor sitting area. Live music is provided on most Fridays and Sundays throughout the summer. It is open from May - Dec. If you book for Memorial Day, Fourth of July, or Labor Day the Inn celebrates these holidays with an afternoon of live music, dancing, food and drinks in the Beer Garden. The Gold Hill Cafe and Pub is right up the street from the Inn. Lunch & breakfast & maybe Brunch on Sunday. They serve beer, wine and cocktails after 5:30 or 6.

Rosey’s Reflections is our very unique local tourist shop, but not like any you have seen! Lots of homemade stain glass Tiffany style lamps, pottery, clothes and more. Take a Colorado gift back home to friends and family. No website but wonderful people running it. When the sign says open, its open!!

Nederland, another mountain town, is about a 35-40 minute drive west from Gold Hill. It is a great town, a larger town than Gold Hill. It is worth checking out for sure. There is a bigger grocery store and THE CAROUSEL OF HAPPINESS, FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES! Google for details.

The Climb is our VERY OWN transportation bus from Gold Hill down to Boulder and back up the hill. For all the details google The Climb, Boulder, Co.

We will greet you at check in if we are in town, show you the house, and answer any questions you may have.

We can be reached by cell phone from 8 am-10pm Monday - Sunday on Liz's cell phone which you will have as soon as you book. Sometimes we will be in the neighborhood in our RV and sometimes we will be out of town. If we are on a flying trip our 24 foot RV will be parked on the North side of the house. It will not impede the parking spaces at all for your cars.

Please call us IMMEDIATELY, REGARDLESS OF THE TIME, if there are any broken or damaged items, If there is something that has stopped working, leaking water or needs physical repair we will come up to fix it if we are in town. If we are out of town and can't get to the house we have two neighbors who are excellent handy dandy guys and know our home well. You call us, we call them and then we will let you know when and who will be coming over to fix the problem.

Our neighbors to the East are Chris & Angela. Chris is a very good handy dandy man for any quick small repairs. Their #'s will be in the house manual on the dining room table.

If you need more than one key let us know before your Check In date so we can be sure to have those ready for you.
