Die Axter Hütte, die eigentlich ein Chalet ist, liegt in leicht erreichbarer Alleinlage in Reichenfels im schönen Lavanttal in Kärnten auf 1330 m Seehöhe und ist hervorragender Ausgangspunkt für entspannte Skitouren und Wanderungen. Das Skigebiet Obdach ist ca 20 Minuten, das Skigebiet Klippitztörl ca 30 Minuten und das Skigebiet Koralpe ca 45 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es im 15km entfernten Ort Edelschrott oder im Ort Hirschegg.
