Fish, canoe, swim, explore woods and lakes. Spend your time here or use as basecamp for backcountry trips. See deer, eagles, loons, moose, bear, or hear a wolf howl in the distance. LED lanterns, propane cookstoves and refrigeration, get water from lake, or nearby well. Life on the edge.

Our home is a 3 bedroom/2.5 bath, four season lake home with absolutely amazing lake views! This is a 2500 sq ft year-round home with open floor living area and lake views that will take your breath away! There is an electric sauna, an outdoor fire pit & a 3 season porch. Our dog friendly home sits on 12 acres of wooded land and we have 150 feet of rocky shoreline across the road. We are a 10 minute drive from downtown Ely on Shagawa lake.

The Vagabond

Nestled into the forest, your stay includes a stand-alone bedroom facing into the forest with windows on all sides. Take the boardwalk to The Vagabond - a restored 1958 metal shell trailer. Custom birch interior, original windows and doors, cozy back bedroom, bright and liveable interior space. Cook in the well stocked kitchen and hang out in the screened in dining room. All new beds/bedding, cozy sectional, laundry and 2 full baths are sure to make any length of stay enjoyable.

Wolf Cabin at Wilderness Wind

We are asking our guests to bring their own sheets and pillow cases. Thank you for your understanding. Wolf Cabin is Wilderness Wind's smallest and most secluded cabin on the shore of Lake Armstrong. This adorable one bedroom cabin with kitchenette and kitchen table is at the end of the road and is quiet and private but has access to all the amenities of the Wilderness Wind resort.
