Nestled in a quiet forest, the little red house is the ideal Maine retreat. 7 minutes from the historic town of Castine, a great starting point for exploring the Blue Hill Peninsula, and about an hour from Acadia National Park. Lavender by the Sea

The Cottage rests over the end of Penobscot River as it opens into the Bay. The Cottage will comfortably accommodate two. The Cottage has a spacious bedroom, full kitchen, dining area, den and an all season porch with rockers. From Cottage there are views of the water and the lavender gardens. The gardens are terraced with a path down to the sea. The Carriage House Suite is available for an additional fee. it has has two bedrooms, a full bath and a sitting area. It can easily sleep four.

Enjoy the day lounging on the deck, boating, and swimming off the dock. Enjoy the evening by the fire pit under the starlit sky and listening to the Loons. The downstairs interior is post and beam with an open concept, hardwood floors, tile, kitchen, living room, fireplace, bath and office. The upstairs has a horseshoe belcony, three bedrooms and bath.

Puffin Place is equipped with 3 bedrooms (King, Queen, and double bunk beds), a bathroom, full kitchen, comfortable living room, dining area, washer/dryer, internet, and outdoor fire pit.

Practice your golf skills on the open area in front of the house or have a glass of wine while watching bald eagles flying above the Bagaduce River. We also have a studio apartment above the garage. This cottage sits directly overlooking Penobscot Bay. It has access to the water's edge via a short set of stairs leading down to a small dock. The water is cold, but is ideal for rowing and canoeing and kayaking. We provide a canoe and two sit-on-top kayaks. In the proper season, it's possible to paddle out into the bay and sit quietly until the harbor seals pop up around you.
