The Shepherd's Rest is a Shepherds Hut and glamping experience. The hut is situated on a 300 acre bull beef farm and approx a 5 minute drive to central Oamaru. The country location is the perfect place to relax, star gaze, enjoy the scenery, birdsong & farm sounds. It’s a great base to explore Oamaru & the Waitaki area.

Built in 1882, the cottage has undergone a full restoration of the interior and now offers luxury accommodation. We are close to local shop, village pub, cafe, park (inc children play area), museum, information centre, tennis courts, Naseby Forest Recreation Area, swimming dam. Don't forget Naseby as a fantastic dark skies location!!
