Lochend: Lovely Apartment in Stenness Village

This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. Lochend self-catering is located in the heart of Neolithic Orkney. We offer you a great place to stay, ideally situated in Stenness Village beside the Loch. The roof garden provides a spectacular view of the Ring of Brodgar, Standing Stones of Stenness and Maeshowe. Lochend has two en-suite bedrooms; one a family room with a double bed and a single bed, the other a twin bedded room. Book any day for minimum 3 nights.

Langwell Bothy

Langwell Bothy has two rooms with vestibule entrance where modest coffee/tea bar is set up. There is a microwave, kettle, toaster and small refrigerator, including a sink, NO COOKER. Main bedroom has view over to Hoy island. The second room has a double bed/couch. (If 2 guests & need 2 beds, please message this) There is a shower room/toilet/sink (wet room) accessible only from the second room. The second room has two views over looking the main house garden and views towards Stromness.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. A simple cosy heated insulted wooden camping pod with two heaters, kettle and lamp. It has 4 thick Futon company folding futons with the possibility of bedding for an extra cost. There is access to quirky dining areas , kitchen cooking equipment and hobs, toaster, air fryer etc .There are washing up facilities and 3 showers and toilets. There’s also a camp honesty shop in the summer. 6 minutes walk to stunning beaches and abundant wildlife.

This comfortable cottage was once the home of a Victorian lighthouse keeper. Now an ideal escape which is pleasantly situated with most rooms having views looking out over the sea towards the Pentland Firth or across the hills of Hoy. From the lighthouse gentle strolls take you to the Hills of White Hamar wildlife reserve just next door, to a nearby sandy beach, or to the shops and general store in Longhope. The lighthouse was designed by the renowned engineers Thomas and David Stevenson.
