The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

In 12mins you can be in the center of New Plymouth or head along State Highway 45 and in 6 min you will be in the beautiful coastal beach township of Oakura. From the deck you have farm and sea views, and out the back, the mountain. There is always a horse or two to pat, and the odd cheeky chicken around. Relax in the evening on the deck and watch the sun go down.

MAX OCCUPANCY 2 Adults & 2 Children under 12 The Black Yurt is situated within Oakura. The surf beach, a number of cafes/restaurants, a pharmacy and a convenience store are within walking distance. Several hiking trails can be found nearby. Accessible via a private staircase, this yurt offers you a comfortable king-size bed, lounge area and kitchenette. The bath and shower are outdoors. A separate small building contains the toilet.
