Located in Oamaru, this beautifully restored, cosy and warm Cabin is the perfect place to base yourself at while you explore the Otago region. Bookbinder's Retreat is small self-contained studio, situated adjacent to the main house. Whilst in the town, the property has a rural outlook over the Public Gardens, and a secluded feel. I have enjoyed creating the space on a small budget over a long time. Travellers seem to appreciate the craftsman like quirkiness of the space which reflects the town.

The living is all open plan and leads beautifully on to a wrap around deck, where you can enjoy views over the town and out to sea. It is a walk down hill to the Thames highway and straight into town from there. Could take around half an hour or more depending on your fitness.
