The cabin provides a cozy space to curl up with your favourite book in front of the fire, or the perfect setting to relax after a day of hiking, with the High Head trail at your front door. Enjoy the private deck with the sounds of the ocean and the visiting wildlife. Located in Prospect,20 min to Halifax and Peggy’s Cove.

The Trailhead Guest Cottage

Our peaceful oceanfront guest cottage is situated at the head of the 9.5 km Pollett's Cove hiking trail.  We recommend a two night stay - first night, settle in with a beverage, evening sunset and star gazing.  Wake to coffee and farm fresh breakfast delivered to your door step (except in August when we are on vacation), before hitting the trail to Pollett's Cove, the Skyline or any of the 30 other nearby national park trails. Have a swim, and return to a hot outdoor shower. Repeat!

Relax and unwind whether it be soaking in the private hot tub with a glass of wine, or lounging on the porch with a cup of hot coffee while watching the tide go out, or around the firepit on a cool summer evening. The heritage cottage offers a seaside porch and garden with spectacular views of the Annapolis Basin. The cottage is within walking distance to the lighthouse, picnic and rocky beach area. Bicycles are available for guest use; sailboat and sea kayaks rentals are nearby.

Come for a tranquil, secluded getaway in our handcrafted cabin near the end of a remote Nova Scotian peninsula that feels wonderfully your own. Enjoy morning lattes on the timber-frame porch, beachcomb and surf at the nearby beach, bike to the local wharf, unwind with a wood-fired sauna and cold plunges in the creek, write songs or poems on the piano or typewriter, get creative in the converted school bus studio, or simply sit by the wood stove with a good book or a tasty drink.
