The area's main attraction Calamus Reservoir is a short 7 mile drive, offering fun for the entire family.

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. This is a 27 foot diameter yurt on a working bison ranch with beautiful pasture views. It is one of 2 yurts with a center building between with a washer/dryer and storm shelter. A car port in front will protect your car from hail. Kitchen includes full size refrigerator, hot plate burner, microwave and toaster oven/air fryer. For cooks who prefer a more traditional oven/stove there is one in the center building.

Halsey National Forest is just a few minutes away and many great Refuge lakes are in the area between Thedford and Valentine. Beautiful views of the sandhills and Middle Loup river going thru the property, with a small catch & release fishing pond on property. Little House on the Prairie

The Little House on the Prairie is nestled in the heart of the Nebraska Sandhills. We are a mere ten minutes from the Calamus River and Calamus Lake (west end) which offers tanking, tubing, boating, and fishing. This is a birders paradise! Bald eagles, prairie chickens, and a plethora of other species to observe will be waiting out your window. Star-gazers will find our night skies free of light pollution. Nature awaits!
