It is a unique character-house right in the middle of Icelandic nature with a spacious living area, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom and four bedrooms accommodating six to seven people. The rooms are all comfortably furnished and lovingly decorated with details that will let you delve into Icelandic culture and tradition. From every nook, you can experience a beautiful view over the hills and valleys of Eastern Iceland (the windows are a little old, but they will be modernized in the summer).

Steinholt is a recently renovated house built in 1907 & centrally-located in Seyðisfjörður. The apartment offers an entrance from the ground floor and the first floor from the big terrace, that can also be enjoyed during the stay. Well equipped kitchen & very cosy living room. Downstairs is a big bedroom with double bed and one/two single beds, upstairs is a sofa-bed. Bathroom with shower and washing machine. Spectacular mountain & fjord views. Smábót is a small cottage (15 square meters) and has accommodations just outside Egilsstaðir and has a great riverside view. The cottage has two single beds, private bathroom and free WiFi. The facilities are extremely suitable for two people. A variety of hiking trails are nearby and guests are allowed to go fishing for free in the river called Rangá. The nearest airport is Egilsstaðir Airport, 8 km from the cabin location.

The surrounding area consists of a river, trees, northern lights, beautiful nature and during the winter time you might even see some reindeers wandering around.

Our cabin is small but very comfortable. It has a lot to offer, peaceful surroundings, surrounded by greenery and tall trees, if you don't like birdsong then this is not the place for you. Located only about 5 to 10 minutes from the town center by car.

Summer house/cabin

The house is 50 sqm. with all equipment for a pleasant stay in the East. In the kitchen you will find everything necessary to cook. Around the house is a patio to relax with your morning coffee or watching the sunset in the night.
