The Hut

Private, sunny and sheltered, in this peaceful location you will fall asleep to the sound of the ocean and wake up to bird song. Access to the Hut is a few minutes up a walking track. Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space at the end of a private laneway. Accessed by external steps, the house is split into two pods connected by an external deck. Lofty ceilings and timber walls create a warm bach-like interior with large ceiling fans in each room and a log burner fire. Glass sliders open out to dramatic views of the harbour and hills. Enjoy a drink or BBQ on the large deck or unwind with a hot outdoor bath. Just a 5-minute walk from the local supermarket and brew bar.

With less than a 5 minute drive or a 15 minute walk downhill you will have access to Sumner Beach and Village. Alternatively a short walk uphill to access mountain bike and walking tracks on the Port Hills.

Great walks within 15 minutes, uphill to open farmland & downhill to Sumner beach, cafe's & restaurants. The studio is set in a quiet cul-de-sac with no road noise and with very quiet neighbours. It's a very restful setting.

Te Ara Cottage Tranquil Retreat

Beautiful charming cottage with fantastic view. The cottage has a queen bed, a sitting room, shower, bath and toilet with own deck. Not self-contained but has a gas cooker, bbq set, microwave, mini fridge, kettle and toaster. Tea/Plunger coffee are provided. There is a walking track below the cottage and also more walks around here. We are located in Diamond Harbour, 20min walk to jetty that you can catch a ferry to Lyttelton, only 10min ride, beautiful journey.

Dog friendly, self contained Clifton living

Welcome to our self contained room in Clifton! A 3 minute drive from Sumner beach, this private room is nestled in the hills with easy access to many stunning walking tracks, and two playgrounds and parks. Our house is perfect for dog owners too, We also have a fenced outdoor dog run you can use and allow well behaved dogs inside the room. We're a young kiwi couple, happy to give local advice or leave you to your own devices.

The perfect blend of Pacific Ocean views, lush native plantings and close proximity to both the city and beach. Great for a couple, our wee garden hideaway nestled on the lower slopes above Redcliffs has a commanding view and a charming 'tiny home' feel. Completed in 2023, this cabin has everything that you need to enjoy a relaxing stay. With bellbirds singing, enjoy the sunrise from your bed and the ever changing view.
