You will enjoy nature, being surrounded by trees, birds, wildlife and a beautiful sunrise. We are located just 2 miles from downtown Palestine and 3 miles to the Texas State Railroad yet in a country setting behind a security gate with your private code. Canton 1st Monday trade days is 1 hour away

Clara's Cottage

Nestled in the East Texas trees, just off a major highway sits a cozy retreat waiting for you to visit. Country style living, dining area with fully stocked kitchen for your cooking pleasure or local take out available. Morning and evening our resident deer, squirrels and birds are here for your pleasure. The stars at night are Big and Bright and a Texas sunset awaits you from the front porch. Only minutes away from Palestine with its many festivals, restaurants, antiques shops. Wifi

Lake House Cottage

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway! Enjoy swimming off the back deck, the ambiance of sitting on the many decks enjoying the beauty of the lake or just relaxing to watch the sunset. If the weather is cooler you may want to enjoy sitting around the gas firepit on the deck or the wood burning fireplace in the Sunroom! The one bedroom has a queen size bed and in the den a pull out sofa bed for two. Less than 10 minutes to downtown for all you shopping and great restaurants too!

Inside, find a fully equipped kitchen, cozy living areas, and comfortable bedrooms. Ideal for families or groups seeking a peaceful retreat away from the city.

Dogwood Cabin on Scenic Wooded Mossbridge Farm

Our two cabins Dogwood and Holly are located on a quiet, wooded 10 acre retreat that is 8 miles from Athens. Our special feature is a spring fed creek that flows year round and has it's own micro climate that is perfect for native ferns, mixed hardwood forest and dogwoods. We have provided a nature trail for bird watching and exercise. Recently we designed and constructed a beautiful pond with three waterfalls and a deck overhanging the water with chairs for enjoying our private paradise.

Cardinal Cove, elevated deck/Florida bass fishing

Kick back and relax in this calm, family friendly space whether it’s for fun or work. You will discover a new experience…fresh air, a beautiful hardwood forest, a small private lake, so quiet and peaceful with wildlife surrounding you, and of course, cardinals! You will be inside a gated community with private parking, a campfire area and a canoe. You may fish in the lake in front of the guest house, but it is strictly “catch and release”. Newly constructed. Now ready for guests!

Hidden Gem Cottages: Sapphire Cottage

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. The house has a king bed in the master with attached bath, a secondary bedroom with 2 queens, an additional hall bath and queen sleeper sofa in the living room. It sits on a stocked pond with a fishing pier. You will have access to fish and relax at our catch and release pond. The outdoor space also includes a patio with gas grill, large front porch overlooking the pond, covered back porch overlooking woods and a fire pit.

Twin Oaks Ranch

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Fishing is permitted in the ponds. The ponds are stocked with a dock. Enjoy a walk through the forest trails. Clean and newly renovated guest house. A fully equipped kitchen is provided with all the necessary utensils. The bedroom has a king-size bed. Two couches can be pulled out to create two additional beds. We welcome dogs. There is a fenced yard for dogs and a doggy door. 15 minutes to town. There is no fire pit or grill.

Lovely Guest House

Our Guest House is recently remodeled and just re-listed on Airbnb. It now has a full kitchen with an oven and induction cooktop, new flooring and other new finishes. Located in the beautiful piney woods of East Texas with breathtaking view of the surrounding hills and valleys. In addition to the Guest House you will enjoy a game room/exercise room and our beautiful grounds with a hammock and children’s playscape. It's the perfect getaway for a group of friends or family.

Sweet Cabin with History and Charm

The Henry Homeplace has been restored to as close to original as possible. This 85 acre property offers a pond for fishing, natural scenery and wildlife, an outdoor private hot tub, an outdoor pavilion, farm animals to love on and so much more! Our location is perfect for being close to town, but getting away from the city for a little bit of rest and relaxation. Restaurants, shops, historical treasures and even the Texas State Railroad are close enough for you to enjoy.

Sunrise Cottage 2: Sabor a Pasion

This sunrise cottage is located on the grounds of Sabor a Pasion Bed & Breakfast. It’s the perfect place to relax, unwind and be immersed in the scenery. Well-known as a culinary destination, Chef Simon Webster created this haven in 2004. Gourmet breakfast is included with your stay. Dinner in the onsite restaurant can also be added. Flowers, chocolates or other special requests can also be added. Sunrise Cottage 2 has a queen bed and private bathroom with shower.
