Our property is a peaceful oasis surrounded by trees and wildlife. It’s the perfect getaway from the bustling city life. We have put in a lot of love and effort in making our chalet comfortable and welcoming for our guests, creating an environment where you can relax, unwind and recharge. Enjoy the picturesque view at Over the Moon Farm, a bustling horse farm situated in the middle of 30 acres in Covington, LA north of New Orleans. A short drive from the farm will take you to Abita Springs, a quaint town with restaurants and the Abita Brewery, Old Covington filled with local shops and restaurants and several horse facilities nearby. Spend the day touring in New Orleans and unwind in the evenings relaxing on one of two porches overlooking horses grazing in the pasture.

Sunhillow Farm Getaway

This secluded 3-bedroom cabin has everything you need for your perfect Louisiana-getaway. No traffic, noise or people. Located on 220 acres adjacent to the Bogue Chitto National Wildlife Refuge, the property includes freshwater lakes, a beach, and multiple trails for a beautiful morning or evening walk. Guests have easy access to the BCNWR for deer, hog, etc. hunting, as well as canoes and kayaks. We have blueberries, whitetail deer and chickens supplying fresh eggs, when laying.
