Family Friendly Lakefront Cottage, Ambajejus Lake

Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun. This is a large (1600 sq. ft.) kid friendly cottage that has all of the conveniences of a home with the beauty and charm of a lakefront cabin. The construction was finished in 2024 so everything is new including the furniture and appliances. The cabin waterfront is in a shallow cove. The depth at the end of the dock is less than 3 feet making it a good place for wading and exploring for kids. Water shoes recommended.

Kayaking, fishing, and bird-watching available right from the yard, and swimming, moose tours, rafting, hunting, and snowmobiling are also nearby! The host, a state-registered Master Guide, is able to issue hunting/fishing licenses on-site (see "Other" heading).

PLEASE READ ALL THE DETAILS OF OUR LISTING. 3rd floor, converted attic "Penthouse" apartment is steps away from Downtown Millinocket and all your outside adventures: fishing, snowmobiling, skiing, white water rafting, biking, etc. Close access to snowmobile trails, 2 minute walk to downtown/Marathon, close to Katahdin and Baxter State Park. Can't promise you will see a rainbow out our window, but on a clear day, when the leaves have fallen off the trees, you can see Katahdin!

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Take a hike down one of the trails out back, or swim in the cool clear water of the spring fed pond off the back porch. Cozy up during a storm by the fire with a good book, or wet a line on a clear morning off the back steps and catch supper! It’s all in one comfy cabin property to get away from it all. Only a few miles to Dover-Foxcroft, or Sebec Lake. Far enough away to get away, but close enough to the amenities and sights.

Chalkboard wall, (with art and signatures from guests all over the world since 2018 dont forget to sign the wall) two tv’s (master bedroom and LR) with Netflix, Hulu, + access, and high speed internet! Owner occupied building. Street next to downtown, hiking trails, and snowmobile trails. We are not near a lake, no idea why airbnb did that and can not change it. We are near a river that many take kayaks and canoes out onto.

Windy Point Cottage is a full amenity waterfront cottage. Located on Ambajejus Lake, we are only 8 miles outside of Millinocket and about 15 to Baxter State Park. Enjoy the use of our beach and kayaks and then relax on the wrap around deck and watch our amazing sunsets. We also have a fire pit/wood for those nights of sitting around a fire telling stories and creating memories. A gas grill and picnic table are also on premises as well as a screened gazebo.
