Head out on Angles Way and follow the Waveney river valley for an idyllic countryside stroll or take a trip to the beautiful Suffolk coast, then light the fire and curl up under the beams. Featured in a host of magazines, this bucolic abode combines period features and chic, contemporary design. Ivywood cottage is medieval in age, but contemporary in design, with luxurious finishes and fine detailing. The house is in a unique rural setting and was once part of the Gawdy Hall Estate. The house sits next to a beautiful 15th century church, set within a 3 acre church yard. Glorious and plentiful Waveney Valley walks in all directions. Guests have complete privacy and run of the house, including a private garden. We respect our guest's privacy, and are on call for any advice or assistance that you may need during your visit. The cottage is a short picturesque drive from the coastal gems of Southwold and Aldeburgh. Harleston and Bungay are quintessential English towns with charming independent stores, delis, family butchers, bistro cafes, pubs, restaurants, and tea shops. It's the countryside, most people drive. Diss is the mainline station between London and Norwich and is just 15 minutes by car. Cycling is very popular and the cottage is on a regular time trial route. Buses are very reliable and the village is well serviced making it easy to hop between Suffolk and Norfolk villages. There is fabulous walking from the cottage. Located in the Waveney Valley paths such as Angles Way which follows the Waveney river valley are right on your doorstep.

The Garage

With a 35 minute drive to the coastal town of Southwold, 'The Garage' is located in Withersdale village, in the centre of the Waveney valley, perfect for exploring Norfolk and Suffolk. This self-contained, high spec apartment offers one double bedroom with ensuite. It is totally separate from, but linked to the main house, having its own entrances, parking and private guest patio. Relax and reset in a peaceful locality with the use of large garden or snuggle in next to the electric aga fire.

The Barn is within a 5 acre smallholding adjacent to Suffolk's gorgeous Heritage Coast. Approx 20 minutes drive from Suffolk treasures including: Southwold, Aldeburgh, Walberswick, Dunwich, Thorpeness and Framlingham. The oak timber framed barn has been lovingly converted with extensively equipped kitchen, comfortable sitting room with dedicated Fibre Wi-Fi, full Sky package TV, OLED TV, Alexi etc. The barn has its own garden, football pitch, play equipment, outdoor table tennis table etc.

Meadowsweet cottage. Romantic countryside retreat.

Meadowsweet Cottage is a traditional timber framed Grade II listed Suffolk cottage. It is one of the oldest dwellings in Metfield and has been sensitively renovated to retain the original character of the building whilst providing comfort and abundant modern conveniences. It is furnished with both antique and contemporary pieces to give the cottage a stylish, yet comfortable feel. The south facing garden is fully dog proof. Two friendly dogs welcome. It has good fast WiFi . Private parking.

Our small 18th century barn is the converted village forge and is perfect for any time of year - a cosy winter break by the wood burner or summer outdoors in the private cottage garden. We're in a central village location, in a forgotten quiet part of Suffolk known as The Saints. Surrounded by beautiful walking and cycling countryside, yet only 15 miles from Suffolk's best beaches and Southwold. The barn shows it's heritage with beams and vaulted ceilings, yet has a modern open plan layout.

Appletree Cottage, Fressingfield

Situated within walking distance of the peaceful Suffolk village of Fressingfield, Appletree Cottage is professionally converted from the original stable to a beautifully furnished holiday home. This bungalow style cottage has a light and airy open plan living/kitchen/dining area with traditional oak-beamed ceilings and a king size bedroom with a door leading out to the garden. A perfect base for those looking for a relaxing and away-from-it-all break in a traditional English countryside.
