New rustic cabin in the woods near the water. Quiet and peaceful. Family friendly. Great reviews. Walk in the woods, sit on the deck, follow the winding path down to our private rocky beach and if you are brave, swim in Maine's chilly waters! It is a great spot for children to live with nature. The cabin has beds for four, and a futon in the living room for afternoon naps. The fishing village of Stonington is about 3 miles away where you can enjoy lobster just fresh from the sea. Peaceful.

Keeper's House Apartment at the Lighthouse

Rent the keeper's apartment at the Swan's Island Lighthouse. The apartment is located on the upper level of the keeper's house and is well-appointed, tidy, and bright. Sleeps 2. Minimum stay 7 nights Sunday to Saturday. The grounds of the light station are Town property, and open to the public so while the keeper's apartment is private, the downstairs space and grounds will have visitors. You will be responsible for keeping the outside doors of the building locked when not open to the public.

They love Freedom for its quiet & natural beauty, & would love to host people at Halcyon Ridge who also want to escape the noise. Stargazers will be delighted: low humidity, expansive view of the southeastern sky, & next to no light pollution, make for wonderful viewing. Rest. Relax. Recharge.
