Durham cottage is a charming 1200 sq. foot house located over a waterway in a beautiful, quiet and historic village. The sound of flowing water is lovely and relaxing. The cottage is a totally renovated house containing a living room, dining room, 1st floor bathroom, large fully outfitted kitchen with gas cooking, and a loft bedroom. Modern heating and A/C. An additional queen size bed can be set up downstairs, if needed. Must be requested in advance to allow for set up. Also a washer/dryer.

Enjoy a stay at a completely refurbished 1820’s log cabin nestled in the woods and rolling fields of a 30 acre homestead. The Nicholas Stoltzfus Homestead is the oldest restored Amish property in Berks County, bought by Immigrant Nicholas Stoltzfus (ancestor of all Stoltzfus descendants in America) in 1771. You will be staying in a peaceful and cozy barn loft apartment with a private entrance beside the stone house. You can enjoy the flower gardens and birds, tour the house, take a bike ride or picnic on the lawn. Adjacent to the property is the Union Canal Towpath on the Tulpehocken Creek.
