Villa Bougainvillea

Villa Bougainvillea is an old stone house that was build in early 19th century and was renovated recently. It is 10 minutes away from the famous beaches of Matala, Kommos,Agiofarago, Kalamaki, Kokkinos Pyrgos and Kaloi Limenes. Because it’s in the south part of Crete, even in the windy days you can find a beach that’s calm enough for swimming. The Minoan palace of Faistos, the archeological site of Gortyna, the cave-graves of Matala are also only 10 minutes away.

This unique stone cottage is built on a 2,5 acres estate, filled with olive and palm trees and is located just 200 m from the secluded east beach of Agia Galini. The cottage is 42sqm with a bedroom, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom. Air-condition and Wi-Fi are also available as well as an external shower. Outside the cottage, besides the beautiful olive trees, herbs & plants, there is a spacious sitting area under an enormous olive tree.

Sights you can visit: Matala, Phaistos palace, Agia Galini, othes ancients, many beaches to the round area! Heraklion and Rethymno are 60km away (60min). Timpaki is 2km and there are bank, ATM, taxi, post office. The weekly local market in the next village of Timpaki is on Fridays.

There are also many coffee and restaurants with Greek cuisine and fresh fish. Everything you need i will be there for you.

Guests will surely have relaxing moments in the big balconies overlooking the garden, the fishing boats approaching the harbour and the sunset. Surprisingly, the beach is only a few steps away and there are free sunbeds and umbrellas where they can be served by the nearby cafes and tavernas.
