MacLeod House Guest Cottage-Nature lovers' getaway

MacLeod House Guest Cottage is a self-contained stone cottage nestled on the edge of the Krantzkloof Nature Reserve. The open plan accommodation is decorated in an Edwardian style but with all the modern conveniences you might require. The cottage overlooks the magnificent Krantzkloof gorge. There is an abundance of bird life for birding enthusiasts and a tranquil setting in which to relax whilst enjoying the sound of the Nkonka Falls directly below the property. A 'must see' for nature lovers.

Upstairs on Impangele

Next to Makaranga (currently closed), the unit has 2 bedrooms with a shared bathroom. The kitchen area has a table & chairs, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, induction cooker, air fryer & microwave. Stocked with tea, coffee & sugar. Each of the rooms has a king size bed which can be split into 2 singles, so can sleep 4 people. One of the bedrooms has an aircon & the other a fan and heater. Deck has a bistro table & chairs as well as a daybed for relaxing. Off street parking for 1 car.

The house offers two separate units. Unit 1 offers a bedroom, bathroom, full kitchen, and lounge. Unit 2 has two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, a kitchenette, and TV room. Easy access to main house with steps leading down from parking area. The owners reside discreetly in garden cottage behind property, ensuring assistance while respecting your privacy.

A really lovely one bedroom place to stay which has all you need for a holiday or if you are on business. The wifi and TV are there for your convenience with a dedicated work space. Westville is a very treed area and green all year round. At Horizon Hideout you are so close to nature and yet only 5 minutes to the shops, an 8 min drive to the Pavilion Shopping Centre and a 20 minute drive to the Durban beachfront.
