Away from the hustle bustle, enjoy this quiet serene spot. The property is well off the highway and the neighbouring orchards screen us from traffic noise. The cottage is nestled between small avocado and mixed fruit orchards, with a view out to the small pond and post’n’rail fenced paddocks beyond. Last minute bookings are usually no problem - we respond quickly. Relax with the family (with up to 3 children) in this organic permaculture lifestyle block with animals that love being fed.

We have kept as many original features as possible, so you get to experience a traditional Kiwi holiday - with a few added comforts. We are dog friendly - check the house rules. Take a break and enjoy the peace and beauty of the Waipu hills. The cabin is located well away from the main house with it's own carport. It has a kitchenette with fridge, hotplates, microwave and a small oven . The spacious deck is prefect for outdoor dining. Relax and enjoy the rural views or head out and explore the area. Waipu township just 10 mins away. Waipu Cove and Uretiti beaches 15-20 mins. Waipu Caves and Piroa Fall are definitely worth a visit too.

We are only 75mins drive north of Auckland, 10 mins off the number one highway. The cottage is built from beautiful untreated hardwoods set in a tranquil private spot, nestled on the edge of a regenerating native forest. The cottage is only a 2min walk down to the beautiful Kaipara Harbour. Our place is part of a 25 year old 300 acre organic permaculture farm, which we were instrumental in setting up as a working farm and village style subdivision.

Peaceful and private, you can lounge on the bean bags on the deck, or watch the tui as you soak in the bath. Native bush runs down to an estuary outside your floor to ceiling windows. Sheep, dogs, ducks and birdlife share the property with you as well as the occassional peacock harem.
