When you arrive at our 16 acre farmstead and enter the Guest Barn, you'll notice the construction materials which were salvaged from a nearby barn and corncrib. The timbers from these buildings were torn down, moved to our farm and rebuilt into a smaller “new” barn. It truly represents a real farm experience you can feel. While here, you'll slow down and enjoy the tranquility. Walk around the farm, make friends with a cow, watch barn kitties play, while gazing across the vast farm vistas.

Nestled at the foot of the Loess Hills, this repurposed grain bin is a sight to see. Every inch of the inside has been customized for a relaxing and luxurious experience. Conveniently located just 30 minutes from downtown Omaha, as well as within a quick drive to numerous state parks. There is even an external electrical hook up for campers. Finally, our grain bin includes 20 acres of the Loess Hills to explore. We recommend hiking to the top of the ridge for sunset. It's breath taking.

The Henhouse Retreat is a beautifully restored 2 bedroom home converted from an original henhouse on our property. With breathtaking country views out every window you are sure to find this country retreat relaxing and enjoyable with many things to do close by like fishing, hiking, and a bike trail. Sorry, no children under the age of 12. This large grain bin has been converted into a rustic two story getaway using reclaimed barn wood and many antiques. The 700 square foot main floor includes a full bath, a vintage retro kitchenette (micro wave, toaster, coffee maker, refrigerator/freezer, NO OVEN), reclining love seat, a smart tv with WIFI and Direct TV, along with a large dining area with 2 tables. The 500 square foot open loft area includes one full bed and 2 queen beds.

We are a small acreage just 15 minutes from Iowa City, 7 minutes from Solon, and 30 minutes from the Cedar Rapids airport. Our converted barn is at the back of the property, behind the house. There is a separate road leading back to the barn for super convenient parking. It’s rustic, cozy, warm and inviting.
