The Nest is privately located overlooking our farm & highlands. It's rustic & glamorous with small touches that make it unique. The Nest sleeps four (second bed is a double futon) & has full cooking & washroom facilities. It's equipped with a wood stove, fridge, BBQ, & solar lights. The outdoor washroom in the pines offers both an on-demand hot shower (summer only) & a composting toilet. The farm has plenty of activities for our guests to enjoy. N.S. We are 30 minutes from the Village of Baddeck, home of the Alexander Graham Bell Museum and the and the Falls in rear Baddeck. Louisbourg is 1 1/2 hours away.

Melinda's mountain retreat, dog & family friendly.

Melinda moved to Cape Breton in 1974 from Tennessee. She married a local, opened a small hair salon, and raised a big garden and four children. Up until suffering a major stroke in 2021, she was an avid swimmer and cross country skier. But, most of all she loved connecting with all kinds of different people, young and old. Although severely limited from the stroke, she still enjoys meeting people and seeing family and friends.

Swallow Bank Cottage #3 on the Margaree River

This one bedroom cottage is located in Margaree Centre. Our four, full housekeeping cottages sit along the Margaree River, just minutes from the Cabot Trail. Cottage 3 has been recently renovated inside and out. New bathroom, upgraded kitchen, and a queen bed with a luxury Logan & Cove mattress. The cottage also has a sofa bed in the living area for extra sleeping space. Check in is anytime after 3pm. Check out is 11am.
