Hegranes guesthouse on a farm

We would like to welcome you to come and stay in our lovely guesthouse at our farm in the heart of Skagafjordur. Here you can relax and enjoy your evening in our hot tub, take a walk to visit our calm and gentle horses, we also own a beautiful lake and we are "forest farmers" i.e. we plant 10.000 trees each year and we can highly recommend a stroll through our young forest to the lake. There will be sheep, chicken, cats and dogs around and next to the house there is a beautiful old church:)

Our cozy cottage with a geothermal hot pool, offers a quiet retreat where you can slow down and enjoy the calm of North Iceland. The hot pool, located just a few steps from the cottages, is available to our guests 24 hours a day, all year round. It is a perfect place to relax in summer and watch northern lights in winter. We are easy to reach (even with a small car) in all seasons and there are many activities and natural landmarks in our area.

Rustic Cabin with a View

Rustic Cabin is a micro apartment connected to our farmhouse. The kitchen and living-room are in the same space where you have two beds, a sleeping sofa and wonderful view of the sunset or the northern lights - if you're lucky. Steinnes is a farm located in picturesque Icelandic scenery with a beautiful view of mountains and the river running by. It lies 15 minutes (by car) south of Blönduós and 2 km from the main road.

Við árbakka Hofsár á Hofsósi stendur þetta fallega hús, Skjaldbreið. Útsýnið frá húsinu er stórkostlegt! Skagafjörður býður upp á fjölbreytta afþreyingu á sumrin, eins og flúðasiglingar, kajakróður, hestaferðir, fuglaskoðun og ýmis söfn. Héraðið er einnig þekkt fyrir matarmenningu sína og þar má finna marga smáframleiðendur sem vert er að kynna sér. Ekki má gleyma sundlauginni á Hofsósi en þaðan er einstakt útsýni!
