Solar-powered MatopHouse is a very carefully considered sanctuary. It's enveloped by a garden frequented by birds, hares, a mongoose and duikers, and has views of the distant Karkloof hills. The house is full of character (and books), and is a tranquil space in which to read, write, cook, create – and to simply "be". Set on a quiet eco-estate on the fringe of Howick, it is conveniently close to the Ambers, the Karkloof trails, the Midlands Meander, Midmar Dam, and numerous cafes and attractions.

Hilton House is perfectly located in the heart of Hilton, just 800m from the N3 highway. It is close to local schools and shopping centers and the freestanding cottage has its own private garden. The property has remote gate access with secure parking directly outside the cottage. Some highlights include uncapped WiFi, solar power backup, a four poster queen bed, two single day-beds, a smart TV and a trendy kitchen with a fridge, microwave and air fryer. Wonderful private and quiet country cottage with lovely views over the Umgeni river conservancy. Enjoy walks at the river or simply chill on the jacuzzi and relax. If you’re needing a break from the hustle and bustle look no further than the tranquility found at Figtree Cottage! The cottage offers a large bedroom with a walk in shower en-suite. Tented luxury comes to the Karkloof in our brand new river frontage unit — inspired by the classic safari tent, but with every comfort and elegant finish you could dream of. This is glamping at its absolute finest! It is best to have a high clearance vehicle to get there. This modern self-catering unit is nestled on a working farm in the Yarrow Valley, Karkloof, and is home to picturesque mountain views, kilometers of trails, the Karkloof falls and the Midlands meander.
