Bedford Hideaway is a unique 1963 SB3 Bedford Bus which has been transformed into a perfect getaway with all the amenities you would expect in a home. The sleeping area of the large unit is divided into two so that the queen bed and the second area with another queen bed and single bed have visual privacy but the wall does not go to the ceiling We do not live on the property so this place suits independent travellers who have a car, wanting to spend time on a west coast beach. Only 3 minutes drive to Hokitika township.

The house is uniquely situated in Kaniere, Hokitika - 600 metres to the Wilderness Bike Trail, walking tracks and 5 minutes drive to the township. A private backyard overlooks neighbouring farmland and native birdlife, flaxes and pungas to the north. Enjoy sitting outside and watching the Tui's eating the flax seeds in season.

Our "cool little" cabin is a very small, detached, cozy, private bedroom looking out towards the rugged Tasman Sea. You will enjoy your own private space, comfortable queen bed, beautiful sunsets, beach access, free parking and the convenience of a 3 min beach walk to Hokitika town centre. Bathroom facilities are detached from cabin and shared with the guests in our other cabin. Our place is perfect for couples and solo adventurers.
