Welcome to our cottage on the lake! We renovated this home through the spring of '18 and are so thrilled to have it ready for you! Sitting less than 30-feet from the sandy bottom of Bass Lake, this house is a charmer in all seasons. In the winter months, enjoy snowshoeing across the lake and come home to a cozy fire. Welcome to our cozy cottage just across the street from Houghton Lake! Enjoy the nicest street on the lake, with lake views from the living room, dining room/kitchen, & the additional family room. Enjoy a glass of wine watching sunset from the large front deck and Amish seating. Lake access is a block away. Small boats may launch there. ORV trailhead is very close (we ride to the trailhead from the cottage), plus snowmobile trails, and state land. Public boat launch under 3 miles away.

Also, relax by the firepit (Adirondack chairs included), enjoy an outdoor picnic, and plenty of room for parking your boat/atv trailer. Close to several trails for riding.

Take a few steps down to the road end beach and spend your day sunbathing and wading WAY out in the shallow, clear water. Launch your kayak here if you would like! Round out your evening with a bonfire out back!

Excellent Wifi (Roku) & 3 Season Room w/ table-great for work/study space. Large fenced in backyard, gas grill, outdoor dining & fire pit. Near Sam O' Set Beach. Extra Clean and Charming w/a large open Kitchen. Pets must be approved w/Pet fee.

We welcome up to two pets, each weighing under 50 pounds. For your furry friends' safety and comfort, we kindly request that they either be crated or accompanied at all times during your stay.

Your get away to the outdoor is right out the front door. All of northern michigan awaits you. Enjoy Hunting on thousands of acres. Miles of O.R.V, and Snowmobile trails. Canoeing, Kayaking, and Trout fishing on Cannon creek, and the mighty Manistee river within walking distance. 20 lakes with in 20 minutes. Enjoy peace and quite with limited phone service but super fast star link wifi. Beautiful fall colors. Quiet cozy nights under the dark sky.
