Enjoy a nostalgic experience at this centrally located home that was built in 1954. My wife and I have furnished it with a touch of modern mid century charm. There is ample parking in front of the house and we are across the street from Hy-Vee grocery. At the opposite end of the house in what was the original garage is my one chair salon called Headlines. It has a separate entrance and please be assured that you will not be disturbed by the business activity. We look forward to your visit!

Geode Retreat

Located 7 miles south of New London, 16 miles southeast from Mt Pleasant, and 14 miles west of Burlington, you will find us. Back in the field drive is our shouse we built in 2016. Nestled next to Geode State Park-you can literally step across the property line and be on the walking trail at Geode State Park. Surrounded by wildlife, trees, hills, and fields, you can relax and enjoy the quiet countryside here. Come on in the door and climb the stairs to our guest space.

The Vernon Street Guest House - Suite 1

Be at home in this updated 1900's home. With all the modern conveniences plus just enough history left behind, the main floor boasts a fully equipped and spacious kitchen & dining room, living room with a desk, laundry area, & bathroom. Typical of a 1900's home are the steep, short footed steps that lead upstairs to the 2 comfortable bedrooms. Perfect for relaxing in the living room or gathering for games, is a cup of freshly roasted coffee, which we happily provide.
